APSU Baseball - Austin Peay State UniversityMemphis, TN – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team scored the game’s final seven runs to post a come-from-behind 9-7, 10-inning victory against Memphis, Tuesday night, in nonconference action at FedEx Park.

Trailing 7-2 after seven innings, Austin Peay (19-12) began its comeback when third baseman Alex Robles singled to start the eighth.

Austin Peay State University’s Craig Massoni and Casey Delgado Honored by Ohio Valley Conference

Austin Peay State University Governors Baseball gets first National Ranking

 

Austin Peay State University Governors SportsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team has broken into a national poll.

After sweeping UT Martin over the weekend to move to 38-13 on the season, the Govs earned a No. 30 ranking in this week’s NCBWA Division I poll for Austin Peay’s first national ranking in 2013.

Austin Peay Governors Baseball lose to the Memphis Tigers

Austin Peay State University GovernorsMemphis, TN – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team led for six innings but could not hold on as the Memphis Tigers won in walk-off fashion, 3-2, Tuesday night at FedEx Park.

Memphis (6-10) rallied from a 2-0 deficit, tying the game in the sixth, before piecing together the game-winning rally in the ninth.

Austin Peay Governors Baseball to make up rainout game with Memphis March 13th

Austin Peay State University GovernorsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team has rescheduled its postponed contest with Memphis, head coach Gary McClure announced Monday. The two teams will meet for a 6:30pm, Tuesday, March 13th contest at FedEx Park. The February 22nd contest between the two teams was rained out.

Austin Peay travels to Alabama A&M, Tuesday, for what will be the team’s first midweek contest.

Austin Peay State University GovernorsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay Baseball begins a four-game road trip when it visits Memphis for a 4:00pm, Wednesday contest at FedEx Field. The Governors will look to bounce back following a disappointing 10-1 loss to Illinois State, Sunday, that was the only blemish on a 3-1 start to their season.

Memphis will seek a measure of revenge against the Ohio Valley Conference after dropping 2-of-3 to OVC member SIU Edwardsville, last weekend. Austin Peay will turn to junior right-hander Casey Delgado, just four days after his previous start. Memphis will turn to junior left-hander Michael Wills, who made a relief appearance last weekend, in an attempt to stymie the Govs.
