Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH)Fort Campbell, KY – March is National Professional Social Work Month and is an opportunity to spotlight the profession and highlight the important contributions social workers make to society.

“As we celebrate March as National Professional Social Work Month, we want to say a special thank you to our military and civilian social work staff at Blanchfield. They are committed to supporting our Soldiers and Family members,” said Col. Anthony McQueen, hospital commander.

Fort Campbell Warrior Transition Battalion Soldiers begin 200-mile Recovery Ride

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Despite the dark clouds and rain, 32 Soldiers from the Fort Campbell Warrior Transition Battalion set-out on a two-day, 200-mile bike ride on post and in Southern Kentucky early Thursday, September 27th, 2018.

The dual century ride is a personally challenging and therapeutic bike ride for wounded, ill and injured Soldiers and veterans, organized by the WTB’s adaptive reconditioning program and volunteers.

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Medical Service Corps marks a Century of service

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital medical service corps officers organized a 100th anniversary celebration for all MSC officers at Fort Campbell June 29th, 2017.

“The event today, celebrating 100 years of medical service to our Army, was a humbling experience. It was an honor to spend it with the Medical Service Corps officers serving here at Fort Campbell,” said Col. Anthony L. McQueen, BACH commander and senior MSC officer at Fort Campbell.

Gregory Tarman, Jr., 626th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, cut the Medical Service Corps' 100th Anniversary cake at Fort Campbell's Cole Park Commons, June 29th, as the Medical Service Corps officers at Fort Campbell gathered to celebrate the anniversary and their Corps' service in the Army.

APSU’s student newspaper The All State takes home state, AP awards

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s student newspaper, The All State, was recently honored for its excellence on both the regional and state levels.

The All State earned a No. 4 in the South ranking on February 27th at the annual Southeast Journalism Conference (SEJC), held February 27th-28th at Georgia State University in Atlanta.

City of Clarksville hosts Warrior Week Military Appreciation Picnic

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville will once again, proudly host the Warrior Week military appreciation picnic for Fort Campbell soldiers and their families.

The picnic will be held on Saturday, June 14th, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Heritage Park, 1241 Peachers Mill Road, Clarksville, TN.
