Austin Peay State University recognized Outstanding Faculty at Annual Academic Honors and Awards Ceremony

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – On April 15th, Austin Peay State University recognized several outstanding faculty members during the annual Academic Honors and Awards Ceremony in the Mabry Concert Hall.

During an emotional presentation, the University’s top faculty honor, the APSU National Alumni Association Distinguished Professor Award, was presented posthumously to John Moseley, associate professor of communication. Austin Peay Lady Govs Basketball renews rivalry with the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles

Austin Peay State University Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay hosts Tennessee Tech in this season’s only meeting between the two rivals at 7:00pm, Monday at the Dunn Center. The contest will be the Lady Govs only game in a 12-day span, they return to the court after an 88-83 loss to UT Martin, Wednesday, and will not play again until a Monday, February 13th contest at Murray State.

Tennessee Tech will be playing the second game of a three-game road trip, winning a 62-50 decision at Jacksonville State, Saturday. It will be the 88th meeting between the two teams in a series that dates back to the 1970-71 season. The Golden Eagles have dominated the series 70-17 but the Lady Govs have been their equal since the 2000-01 season – the two teams splitting the 22 meetings in the new millennium.

Austin Peay GovTV Channel 99 now on U-verse TV

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s GovTV Channel 99, which broadcasts public, education and government (PEG) programming for the city of Clarksville, is now carried on AT&T U-verse.

Dr. Mike Gotcher, chair of the APSU Department of Communication who oversees the operation of GovTV, said the ability to offer GovTV on an additional subscription service is “a positive feature for the APSU community and Clarksville.” «Read the rest of this article»

The City of Clarksville adds new local content to U-verse TV

 

Public, Education and Government (PEG) Programming
PEG channel added to U-verse TV in Clarksville, Tennessee

AT&TClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and AT&T Tennessee today announced that Public, Education and Government (PEG) programming provided by The City of Clarksville is now carried on AT&T U-verse® TV Channel 99.

This station is operated by Austin Peay State University (APSU).  APSU’s GovTV channel provides its viewers live and rebroadcast coverage of OVC sports, classic arts showcase, NASA and various community events that also include Clarksville’s city council meetings. AT&T U-verse launched in Tennessee in December 2008.
