About 550 oboists and bassoonists climbed the bleachers around 11:00pm August 31st at the International Double Reed Society’s annual conference.

Dr. Amy Gillick, assistant music professor at Austin Peay State University (APSU), earned a faculty research grant to translate the essays of Brazilian composer Francisco Mignone.

Clarksville’s Go Commando Half Marathon and 5k sees Large Turnout

 

Clarksville's Go Commando Half MarathonClarksville, TN – The 7th Annual Go Commando Half Marathon & 5K drew more runners than last year, with almost 1,100 participants for the main events, the Kids Fun Run and the Shadow Run this past Saturday, October 21st, 2017.

This year also featured a Guinness World Record being set by Kalea Lehman who finished the half marathon in 1:51:12 while pushing a triple stroller.

Clarksville Residents asked to contribute to “World’s Largest Paintbrush Mosaic”

OLYMPIC® Paints & StainsClarksville, TN – OLYMPIC® Paints & Stains invites Clarksville residents to participate in a number of weather-themed wood staining scenarios as part of its Olympic MAXIMUM® WEATHER-READY™ stain truck tour traveling to Lowe’s stores across the Midwest.

The truck will be at Lowe’s of Clarksville at 2150 Lowes Drive on Tuesday, May 24th. It will also make an appearance at the Lowe’s of South Clarksville at 1622 Madison Street on Wednesday, May 25th. The truck will be at the locations from 11:00am – 5:00pm each day.
