Nashville Zoo to hold “Boo at the Zoo” October 11th-27th

 

Nashville ZooNashville, TN – Nashville’s littlest ghosts and goblins are invited to enjoy a night of delightfully frightful fun at the Nashville Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo.

Our annual Halloween tradition is set for 10 nights: October 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th. Boo at the Zoo runs from 5:00pm-9:00pm.

Kids can come dressed in their favorite costume and enjoy carnival games, carousel rides, hayrides, shows and trick-or-treating.

The annual evening event offers families a safe and exciting Halloween experience for kids under age 12. Special areas throughout the event include:

Nashville Zoo hosts Zzzoofari Slumber, May 25th-26th

 

Nashville ZooNashville, TN – The Nashville Zoo will be holding Zzzoofari Slumber on May 25th-26th, 2019. Join the Zoo for a unique camping experience as you sleep under the stars just a short distance away from the snoozing animals. If you have ever wonder what the Zoo is like at night, this is your chance to find out.

Zzzoofari Slumber is an overnight camp session for families and escorted children (recommended for ages 4 – 12). Enjoy a variety of activities that include hayrides, carousel and zip line rides (until 7:00pm), inflatables, an animal show, crafts, evening hot dog and marshmallow roast and a full breakfast and admission to the Zoo on Sunday.

Land Between the Lakes to hold Fall Fest at Woodlands Nature Station

 

Land Between the Lakes - LBLLand Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Woodlands Nature Station hosts Fall Fest Saturday, November 4th, 2017 from 10:00am-4:00pm. Nature Station admission is $5.00 ages 13 and up, $3.00 ages 5-12, free for ages 4 and under.

Fall Fest features a variety of forest and migration-themed programs including hayrides, live music, nature crafts, and appearances by Smokey Bear.

Fall Frolic features a variety of fall nature events and fun filled activities, including hayrides and live music. “Bring the whole family to enjoy the fall weather and participate in a variety of planned outdoor programs and activities,” said Carrie Szwed, Public Programs Coordinator at Nature Station.

Step Back in Time at Henry Horton State Park

 

Eighth Annual Fall Festival Slated for September 16th-17th

Tennessee State ParksChapel Hill, TN – Henry Horton State Park will host the Eighth Annual Step Back in Time Festival September 16th – 17th, featuring an 1840s encampment, horse-mounted shooters, arts and crafts, country petting zoo, a sheep dog / herding demonstration, bluegrass music, food and much more. Activities will begin at 7:00am each day and run until approximately 7:30pm. The festival is free and open to the public.

“This year’s Step Back in Time Festival includes several exciting new events and demonstrations – it’s a true family friendly event and a great way to learn about Tennessee history and see the skills of long ago in action,” said Shane Petty, chief ranger for Tennessee State Parks.  “Over the course of two days, we will have some great music, food and even a few surprises up our sleeves.  We encourage everyone to come out and help us celebrate this annual event.” «Read the rest of this article»
