Clarksville Police Department reminds Citizens of Speed Limit Change along Highway 48/13

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Recently, the Clarksville Police Department advised drivers about the reduction in the speed limit from 45 to 35 mph in the construction area in both directions on Highway 48/13 and about CPD’s additional enforcement in the area.

In a three day period, January 15th-17th, Clarksville Police wrote 48 city citations. Most of the citations were for speeds exceeding 15 mph or over the posted speed limit of 35 mph.

TDOT to begin repairs on McClure Bridge Friday, August 4th

Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOTMontgomery County, TN – Beginning Friday, August 4th, 2017, the Tennessee Department of Transportation will start repairs on McClure Bridge in southern Montgomery County. The repairs will occur over the next three weekends.

The bridge crosses the Cumberland River on Highway 48/13 and is the main thoroughfare from southern Montgomery County to Clarksville.

Clarksville Gas and Water Reports Crestmore Drive Closed for Water Main Repair

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has closed a section of Crestmore Drive from Highway 48/13 to Southern Parkway to repair a water main leak.

A water outage or low water pressure may also affect area residents during the work.

The repair is anticipated to be finished and the road reopened by approximately 11:30am.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The earlier area search for suspect Zaccariah Bradford Pride, 33, has ended. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies are currently investigating leads on his exact location.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies began searching for Pride after he fled the scene of an accident Friday afternoon, October 21st, 2016 in the area of south of Highway 149 and west of Highway 48/13.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office searches for suspect at Hwy 48/13 intersection at Hwy 149

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for a suspect after he fled the scene of an accident.

Zaccariah Bradford Pride, 33, is possibly armed. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall, 165 pounds, with strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes.

Deputies have set up a perimeter and are searching in the area of south of Highway 149 and west of Highway 48/13.

Clarksville Police Department Saturation Patrol Statistics from August 19th & 20th, 2016

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department conducted impaired driving saturation patrols on August 19th and 20th, 2016, which was partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.

Total number of vehicles through the Checkpoint (Hwy 48/13) from August 19th, 2016 11:00pm to August 20th, 2016 1:00am were 403.

During this time, there were 257 vehicles stopped and 238 individuals charged.

City of Clarksville to Celebrate Independence Day Sunday, July 3rd

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Sunday, July 3rd, 2016, the City of Clarksville will celebrate our nation’s independence this year with the ninth annual Independence Day Celebration at Liberty Park. The event is free and open to the public.

Activities and music will begin at 6:00pm Seating is available throughout the park and the concerts will take place on the Great Lawn of the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. Concessions are for sale throughout the park.
