Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports rise in Catalytic Converter Thefts

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) would like to make the public aware of an increase in catalytic converter thefts in our area.

Thieves are targeting buses, box trucks, and pickup trucks throughout the county with the areas surrounding International Boulevard and Sango experiencing the highest amount of thefts.  

The first theft was reported in December of last year and have continued through February. The thefts mainly occur between the hours of midnight and 4:00am. To date there have been 14 thefts in the county.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department reports Water Outage on Section of International Boulevard

 

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – On Monday, August 24th, 2020, the Clarksville Gas and Water Department turned off water service on International Boulevard at the intersection of Dunlop Lane for water main leak repair. Low water pressure is also affecting the vicinity.

The water main repair is anticipated to be finished and water service restored by approximately 5:00pm.

2019 Clarksville City Budget allocates $29 Million for Construction, Upkeep

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan is recommending $9.6 million in capital spending in her 2019 budget for design and construction of the first phase of the Northeast Connector, a major thoroughfare that will link the Wilma Rudolph Boulevard commercial district with rapidly growing Northeast Clarksville residential neighborhoods.

The Northeast Connector is designed to relieve traffic at Exits 1 and 4 and on the 101st Airborne Division Parkway and Trenton Road.

Clarksville Gas and Water reports Guthrie Highway Water Outage

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on a section of Guthrie Highway between International Boulevard and Jim Johnson Road for water meter replacement work.

The road is open to traffic.

The meter replacement is anticipated to be finished and water service restored by approximately 11:30am.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Multiple agencies in Montgomery County have begun recovery and cleanup efforts of areas impacted by last night’s severe weather.

Areas affected by storm damage will only be open to residents of that area.

MCSO asks all other citizens to please avoid these areas to allow road crews and heavy equipment the space needed to operate.
