Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUGreeley, CO – Still seeking that elusive first victory, Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team now heads back on the road when it faces Cal Poly, 3:30pm CT, Saturday, in the regional portion of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational at Bank of Colorado Arena on the campus of Northern Colorado.

The 0-3 Governors are amidst a busy first two weeks of the 2015-16 season. By Sunday’s end—and two games—the Govs will have played an NBA-like five games in nine days.

APSU Governors Basketball comes up short against IP-Fort Wayne Mastodons

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TN – Redshirt freshman guard John Konchar scored a career-high 28 points while point guard Mo Evans added 20 and seven assists to lead IP-Fort Wayne to an 80-77 victory against Austin Peay State University, Wednesday night, in the Governors’ home-opening basketball game.

The loss leaves the Govs 0-3 overall while IPFW improved to 2-1, gaining its season’s first road victory.

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUBloomington, IN – Football coaches often talk about the greatest improvement a team makes is from Week 1 to Week 2. Austin Peay State University basketball coach Dave Loos could relate to that philosophy Monday night.

Austin Peay hung with 15th-ranked Indiana for much of the first half and the early portion of the final before the high-octane Hoosiers converted 15 consecutive shots to pull away for a 102-76 victory in opening-round action of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational.

Austin Peay State University releases APSU Lady Govs 2015 Softball Schedule

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s softball team will play four in-season tournaments, including their first home tourney since 2011, while totaling 29 home games to highlight its 2015 schedule.

“We’re looking to compete a little bit better this year and I think our schedule shows that,” Austin Peay coach Stephanie Paris said. “It’s not going to hurt us to play great teams before we get into Ohio Valley Conference play, so we’re looking at going to some tournament to play some high-caliber teams and getting tested a little bit early.”
