The Donald Trump Doctrine: Terrorists Lose, Peace Wins

The White HouseWashington, D.C. – It’s hard to believe that just five years ago, Americans watched in horror as ISIS gained power and territory throughout the Middle East and terrorists killed 14 Americans on United States. soil in San Bernardino, California.

Today, the ISIS caliphate is destroyed. Terrorist leaders Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and Qasem Soleimani are dead. And instead of sending American troops to fight in endless wars or giving cash to terrorist sponsors in Iran, the United States is securing peace deals with our real allies across the Middle East, including Israel.

The White HouseWashington, D.C. – Today, Friday, January 10th, 2020, I (President Donald Trump) am holding the Iranian regime responsible for attacks against United States personnel and interests by denying it substantial revenue that may be used to fund and support its nuclear program, missile development, terrorism and terrorist proxy networks, and malign regional influence.

I have issued an Executive Order authorizing the imposition of sanctions against any individual or entity operating in the construction, manufacturing, textiles, or mining sectors of the Iranian economy or anyone assisting those who engage in this sanctioned conduct.

The Democrats and Iran

The White HouseWashington, D.C. – “President Donald Trump’s order to take out Qasem Soleimani was morally, constitutionally and strategically correct.

It deserves more bipartisan support than the begrudging or negative reactions it has received thus far from my fellow Democrats,” former Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT) writes in The Wall Street Journal.

Tennessee Gas Prices Face Upward Pressure

Clarksville-Montgomery County has the Third Cheapest Gas Prices in Tennessee

AAATampa, FL Tennessee gas prices averaged $2.59 on Sunday. See today’s price

The state average is the same as last week, and 22 cents less than the national average. However, Tennessee motorists are paying 47 cents more per gallon than this time last year.

The rising price of oil may drag gas prices higher this week. Oil prices reached a new 2018 high, on the belief that President Trump may pull out of the Iran Nuclear Deal. Such a move would likely reinstate sanctions, resulting in reduced global supply, and higher fuel prices.
