Nashville Sounds defeat Gwinnett Stripers 3-2

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds broke a 2-2 deadlock in the eighth inning on a single from Christian Kelley and held on to defeat the Gwinnett Stripers 3-2 Thursday night at Coolray Field. The Sounds snapped a four-game losing streak.

The Stripers got on the board in the first inning as Cristian Pache led off the inning with a double and later came in to score on a sacrifice fly.

Nashville responded with a run of their own in the second on a single from Kelley to tie the game at one. The lead did not last as Gwinnett took a 2-1 advantage in the bottom half of the inning on a sacrifice fly by Jonathan Morales.

Nashville Sounds score Five in the Fifth to take down Indianapolis Indians, 6-3

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds scored five runs in the seventh inning to overcome a 3-1 deficit and defeat the Indianapolis Indians 6-3 Thursday night at First Horizon Park. It marked the third time the Sounds have won when trailing after six innings.

Nashville got on the board in the third as Keston Hiura singled home a run to give the Sounds a 1-0 advantage.

Indianapolis came back to take a 3-1 lead in the fourth on a single from Will Craig and a two-RBI single from Anthony Alford.

Charlotte Knights blank Nashville Sounds, 4-0

 

Nashville SoundsCharlotte, NC – Bowden Francis gave the Nashville Sounds five strong innings in his second Triple-A starter, but it was not enough as the Sounds fell 4-0 against the Charlotte Knights on Saturday night at Truist Field. After winning 15 games in a row, the Sounds have suffered consecutive losses for the first time since May 4-5 when they began the season 0-2.

Francis (1-1) gave up a homer in the second to Tim Beckham and a two-out RBI single in the third to Jake Burger, and that was it over five frames. He struck out six and finished his outing by retiring seven batters in a row in the eventual loss.

Nashville Sounds beat Charlotte Knights 6-4, get 13th Straight Win

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds got a solid outing from Blaine Hardy and home runs from Dustin Peterson, Weston Wilson, and Cooper Hummel in a 6-4 win over the Charlotte Knights at Truist Field on Tuesday night. The win for Nashville was the club’s 13th consecutive win.

Coming off back-to-back six-game sweeps of Gwinnett and Columbus, the Sounds opened the six-game set in Charlotte with a first-inning run. Pablo Reyes doubled to the left-field corner on the first pitch of the game and came around to score on Dustin Peterson’s sacrifice fly.

Nashville Sounds beat Columbus Clippers for 10th Straight Win

 

Nashville SoundsColumbus, OH – The Nashville Sounds launched a season-high six home runs on Friday night, including two from Weston Wilson and back-to-back jacks from Tyrone Taylor and Jake Hager, to beat the Columbus Clippers 13-9 on a windy night at Huntington Park. The Sounds have won 10 consecutive games and 13 of their last 15.

Zach Green got it started right away with a two-run homer in the first inning off Kirk McCarty. Green has homered three times in the series and twice in the first inning. Then Wilson hit the first of his two in the second inning before Hernan Perez smashed a two-run double to make it 5-0.
