Other event sponsors included Elliott’s Jewelers and Montgomery County Commissioner Charles Keene.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – James Corlew Chevrolet was honored with a green ribbon cutting on Friday, November 9th, 2018 as the newest member of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program (CMCGCP).

First Annual Wags & Wings Family Fun Fest has huge turnout

 

Clarksville Regional AirportClarksville, TN – Wags & Wings Family Fun Fest combined pet-friendly activities with aviation exhibits for a one-of-a-kind festival experience that attracted more than 2,200 people to Clarksville Regional Airport, October 14th, 2017.

Presented by the Airport, the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County and title sponsor Fortera Credit Union, organizers called the multi-faceted first year event a high-flying success.

Total Solar Eclipse Signals Biggest Day in Clarksville Regional Airport History

 

Clarksville Regional AirportClarksville, TN – The Great American Eclipse of 2017 on August 21st was a once-in-a-lifetime event for many in Clarksville. But for Clarksville Regional Airport it was also a historic milestone that eclipsed all previous single day aircraft traffic records at the public-use airport.

The airport embraced its role as the “front door to Middle Tennessee” and invited people from across the world to fly-in to the facility located near the Tennessee-Kentucky state line to experience the total solar eclipse.

A variety of aircraft, ranging from light-sport aircraft to multi- passenger charter jets, flew into Clarksville Regional Airport August 21st to witness the Great American Eclipse of 2017. More than 160 aircraft landed at the airport to view the eclipse, with planes arriving from as far away as England and Canada.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development Board (IDB) Announces 2017-18 Leadership

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development BoardClarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development Board (IDB) announces that Carl Wilson has been named chairman of the board of directors for the 2017-18 year, beginning July 1st, 2017.

Wilson retired as general manager of CEMC in 2008. Since then he has worked with the USDA Rural Utilities Service providing regulatory assistance to electric cooperatives in a six-state region across the southern U.S.

Clarksville Area Chamber of CommerceClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces its 2017-18 Board of Directors.

Serving as chairman for a one-year term beginning July 1st, is Charlie Koon, Director of Workforce & Economic Development at Workforce Essentials. Koon was named the 2015 Middle Tennessee Workforce Services Employee of the Year by the Tennessee Department of Labor and in 2008 he was named Clarksville’s “Citizen of the Year.”

Tennessee Titans Caravan rolled into Clarksville Tuesday

 

Tennessee TitansClarksville, TN – The Tennessee Titans rolled into Clarksville on Tuesday with linebacker Akeem Ayers; defensive tackle Jurrell Casey; and Mike Keith, the voice of the Tennessee Titans on the second day of the 2013 Titans Caravan. The Caravan stopped in Clarksville at the Lowe’s Drive Krogers.

The second day of the Caravan began with private stops in White Bluff at the White Bluff Elementary School, in Waverly, TN at the Waverly Junior High School, in Camden at the Briarwood Elementary School. Two public stops were also on the agenda for the second day of the Caravan at Clifty Farm Country Ham in Paris, TN and finishing up at the Kroger store stop in Clarksville.
