President Donald Trump, Michigan Autoworkers celebrate the end of NAFTA

 

The White HouseWashington, D.C. – President Donald Trump flew to Michigan Thursday, January 20th, 2020, where he joined workers to celebrate the signing of his new U.S.–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA) and the end of NAFTA.

Dana Incorporated, where the President spoke, perfectly captures America’s blue-collar spirit. Based near Detroit, the company employs more than 1,500 workers that help assemble some of the toughest vehicles in the world. Dana Inc., for example, helped invent the iconic U.S. Army Jeep in 1941.

2014 Annual Auto Reliability Survey by Consumer Reports shows Infotainment Systems are a Growing First-Year Reliability Plague

 

Troublesome Q50, QX60 models drop Infiniti 14 spots; Lexus tops rankings

Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – Multi-function, cross-linked infotainment systems and the associated in-car electronics are a growing reliability plague for many brands, according to Consumer Reports 2014 Annual Reliability Survey.

First-year models from Infiniti, Jeep, Fiat, Ram, Cadillac, Ford, and Honda have all seen significant problem rates from infotainment bugs and glitches. Of the 17 problem areas CR asks about in its survey, the category including in-car electronics generated more complaints from owners of 2014 models than for any other category. «Read the rest of this article»

67 year old Store Owner fights back, Robber flees

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On October 25th, 2011, around 10:15 pm, a man with a crowbar walked into The Wine Cellar, 4 Lealand Drive, at closing time, said he was homeless and demanded money. The 67 year old store owner refused to give him any money, at which time, the would-be robber struck him in the head with the crowbar.

The owner pulled out a revolver, the suspect grabbed the gun, and the fight was on. A 66 year old woman, an employee of the store heard the commotion, came out, saw the two men fighting, grabbed a baseball bat, and in the heat of the battle, hit the suspect and the store owner. «Read the rest of this article»

2011 Annual Auto Reliability Survey: New models tarnish Ford’s reliability

 

Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – In recent years Ford has been a model of American reliability, competing well against Japanese makes that have dominated for decades. But three of its new models are blemishing that record, according to Consumer Reports.

The new Explorer, Fiesta, and Focus all had below-average reliability in their first year. As a result, Ford’s overall reliability rank among 28 major car makes slipped from the 10th to the 20th spot this year—the biggest drop for any major nameplate in Consumer Reports 2011 Annual Auto Survey.
