Clarksville Street Department reports Several Roads remain Closed by Storm Debris

 

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Clarksville Street Department crews are working diligently to clean up storm debris and make repairs to signals to ensure the Clarksville’s streets and roads are safe to travel in the wake of Saturday’s severe wind storm.

In addition, Clarksville Street Department crews continue to remove debris and assist CDE Lightband and its regional utility partners as crews repair power lines.

CDE Lightband reports steady progress restoring power

 

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – CDE Lightband continues to make progress in restoring power to Clarksville customers, reporting at 1:00pm Monday that about 5,800 homes and businesses remained without power after a severe storm Saturday afternoon knocked out service to more than 30,000 customers.

Clarksville Gas and Water reports Mills Drive Water Outage and Road Closure

Clarksville Police report Passenger in August 16th Vehicle Crash Dies

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On August 16th, 2017, Clarksville Police reported a 2016 Jeep Compass driven by a 36 year old female was turning south onto Jordan Road from Purple Heart Parkway, had the sun in her eyes and did not see the oncoming 2010 HHR, driven by a 74 year old male, traveling east on Purple Heart Parkway.

The 2010 HHR collided with the 2016 Jeep Compass.

A passenger in a motor vehicle crash which occurred on August 16th, 2017 died on August 25th according to Clarskville Police.

Clarksville Department of Electricity update on Power Outages

 

Clarksville Department of Electricity - CDE - CDE LightbandClarksville, TN – As of 11:40pm, Clarksville Department of Electricity (CDE Lightband) crews and engineers have restored power to the substation and the St. Bethlehem areas.

As of 12:15am, power has been restored to Memorial Drive and Kingswood Court area. Crews are en route to Maplewood Drive, Jordan Road, and Eva Drive.

CDE will release updated information as it becomes available.

Clarksville Police issues Traffic Advisory for Purple Heart Parkway

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department reports both westbound lanes of Purple Heart Parkway between Fort Campbell Boulevard and Jordan Road are closed because of a 20 foot by 20 foot sink hole.

All citizens are advised to find an alternate route and advised to avoid the location until the Clarksville Police Department and Tennessee Department of Transportation can set-up detours.
