Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators continue to struggle finding the back of the net, falling behind early, then chasing the game and unable to hold off the Winnipeg Jets, 2-1.
Winnipeg scored just 18 seconds into the game when Patrik Laine completed a classic “give and go” with Kyle Connor to put the Jets on the board, 1-0.
The Predators have been falling behind early in their last series of games and just haven’t been able to rally back for a win. The effort has been there, but the goal tending against them has been superior. Tonight it was Connor Hellebuyck for Winnipeg that held off the Predators.

While the hockey “experts” continue to second guess head coach Peter Laviolette’s strategy for game five tonight, Winnipeg put on a clinic on how to attack the net and keep the pressure on Predators’ goalie, Pekka RInne. Rinne was pulled in the third period.
Winnipeg got on the board first when Paul Stastny scored at 7:44 of the second period after a Patrik Laine shot was blocked by Rinne but the rebound fell at the feet of Stastny who scored, giving the Jets the early 1-0 lead.
Clarksville, TN – The Nashville Predators managed to salvage a point in their 5-4 shootout loss to the Winnipeg Jets tonight, as Mark Scheifele scored the game winner, beating Juuse Saros for the Predators.
The victory clinched a playoff berth for the Jets.
In one of the most exciting games of their five game series, the teams traded punches all night, and the lead.
Roman Josi got the Predators started at 10:09 of the first period on a slap shot that beat Jets goalie, Connor Hellebuyck for the 1-0 early Nashville lead. Ryan Ellis and Viktor Arvidsson assisted on the score.
Clarksville, Tn — The Nashville Predators defeated their closest rivals in the Central Division of the Western Conference, the Winnipeg Jets, 3-1 at the sold-out Bridgestone Arena in Nashville tonight.
The Predators chased starting Winnipeg goalie, Michael Hutchinson just ten minutes into the contest, after scoring three quick goals, two of the shorthanded.
It was reported that Hutchinson was put in concussion protocol for the remainder of the game.
Clarksville, TN – The Nashville Predators defeated the Winnipeg Jets in a wild one tonight at the Bell MTS Place, 6-5, with Ryan Hartman scoring the winning goal, with just one minute left in regulation.
Hartman was acquired on Monday, from the Chicago Blackhawks, and was playing in his debut game with Nashville.
The two points came over their nearest Central Division rival, and is the start of a Canadian road trip that will include games against Edmonton and Vancouver this week.
