Blanchfield Army Community Hospital pharmacy leaders work to reduce pharmacy wait times

 

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH)Fort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) pharmacy leaders are working to help patients avoid extended wait time within two of their busiest pharmacy locations.

“Our goal is to reduce wait times for customers receiving services at our Town Center and Main hospital pharmacies,” said BACH pharmacy chief, Lt. Col. Michele Hudak. “We are implementing a mandatory call-in refill policy which will free up window time for processing new prescriptions. Currently, a quarter of the walk-up workload is for on-demand refills at our busiest pharmacy, the Town Center.”

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – In honor of the national observance of Thanksgiving Day, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital personnel will observe the federal holiday Thursday, November 23rd, 2017.

The Warrior Care Clinic and all Soldier and Patient-Centered Medical Homes, including Campbell Army Airfield, LaPointe, Byrd, Air Assault, Gold, Young Eagle and Screaming Eagle, and pharmacies will be closed November 23rd. The hospital remains open 24/7 for emergency services, inpatient care, and labor and delivery services.

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) personnel will participate in a day of Continuing Medical Education Friday, April 3rd which will require medical personnel to reduce hospital services offered to patients.

This day of training will maximize the opportunity for clinicians and non-clinicians to obtain required educational credits and complete required trainings at Fort Campbell.
