Kenwood Knights Burned at Home by Pearl Cohn Firebirds 59-7

Kenwood High SchoolClarksville, TN – The Pearl Cohn Firebirds (2-0) were just too hot for the Kenwood Knights (0-2). Seven offensive possessions led to seven scores as the Firebirds defeated the Knights 59-7.

The Knights defense had no answers for the Firebirds offense on the ground or in the air. The Knights gave up big plays early, allowing the Firebirds to score 34 unanswered points in the first quarter.

The hole only got deeper as the Knights defense failed to tackle Firebird’s senior running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn. Vaughn averaged over 20 yards per carry on his way to 275 yards rushing with four touchdowns.
