Roxy Regional Theatre’s presentation of “A Christmas Carol: The Musical” opens Thanksgiving Night

 

Clarskville's Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – After the turkey and stuffing are put away on Thanksgiving night, bring your out-of-town guests to Historic Downtown Clarksville for family entertainment sure to get everyone in the holiday spirit!

Mark and Ricki Holleman proudly present “A Christmas Carol: The Musical” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, opening Thursday, November 28th, at 7:00pm.

In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular price will go on sale at 6:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation. Due to the double casting of children in the production, a second pay-what-you-can night will be held at 7:30pm on Friday, November 29th.

“Oklahoma!” opens this Friday at Roxy Regional Theatre

Clarskville's Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – Legends Bank presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s masterpiece “Oklahoma!” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, beginning this Friday, July 27th, 2018 at 8:00pm. In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular ticket price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.

The high-spirited rivalry between cowboys and farmers in Western Indian territory, just after the turn of the century, provides the colorful background for love between handsome cowboy Curly (played by Hunter Brown) and winsome farm girl Laurey (Amy Laviolette).

APSU Board of Trustees approves Graduate Certificates, honors University supporters

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – During its June meeting, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Board of Trustees approved six new graduate certificates, which will be offered through the APSU College of Graduate Studies this fall.

Earlier this year, the University began offering graduate education programs, providing working professionals with the training and credentials they need to enhance and elevate their careers.

Roxy Regional Theatre to Unveil 36th Season at “Happenin’ at the Hollemans'” on Friday, May 11th

City of Clarksville hold Frank Sutton statue dedication

 

Actor, soldier, humanitarian honored in hometown

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – On Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017, a statue of actor Frank “Sgt. Carter” Sutton, who was born and raised in Clarksville, was dedicated on Franklin Street in Downtown Clarksville.

A crowd of more than 150 people — including a large group of third-grade students from Clarksville Academy and a busload of Coldwell Banker Realtors  —  gathered to watch Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, statue project leader Mark Holleman, and sculptor Scott Wise pull the shroud from the bronze image.

The completed statue of Frank Sutton was unveiled at 1:30pm Wednesday near the Roxy Theatre on Franklin Street by Mark Holleman, Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan and sculptor Scott Wise.

Event rescheduled after rain out last week

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – A statue of actor Frank “Sgt. Carter” Sutton, who was born and raised in Clarksville, will be dedicated at 1:30pm Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 on Franklin Street in Downtown Clarksville.

Bad weather last Saturday forced the ceremony to be rescheduled.

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – A statue of actor Frank “Sergeant Carter” Sutton, who was born and raised in Clarksville, will be dedicated at 1:30pm Saturday on Franklin Street in Downtown Clarksville.

Mark Holleman, civic leader and broker/owner of Coldwell Banker Conroy, Marable & Holleman working with the City of Clarksville, led the drive to place the statue — created by local sculptor Scott Wise — near the Roxy Regional Theatre in Sutton’s hometown.

For the fourth consecutive year, Mark, Ricki, John Mark and Will Holleman will host “Happenin’ at the Hollemans,” an evening of entertainment featuring the unveiling of the Roxy Regional Theatre’s highly-anticipated “Season 34: Play Your Part” on Monday, May 23rd, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Coldwell Banker Conroy, Marable & Holleman provided a wonderful Christmas to 15 needy families

 

Clarksville, TN – A few weeks before Christmas; on a cold December morning, a crowd gathered at the Coldwell Banker Conroy, Marable & Holleman office on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.  15 Families had been selected to receive a wonderful Christmas gift. One child from each family would soon be boarding the Coldwell Banker Clarksville Olde Town Trolley to shop for Christmas presents for their families.

“It’s great,” said Mark Holleman. “I think it’s fantastic. And like I said, I think the agents will receive as much out of taking these kids shopping, as the kids will get out of shopping for their families.” The realtors mission was to give back to the community by ensuring that these kids and their families had a wonderful Christmas.
