Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 18 Tennessee returns to action after its bye week and looks to stop a two-game skid when it travels to face SEC divisional foe South Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium at 6:15pm CT on Saturday.

ESPN2 will carry Saturday night’s broadcast with Mark Jones (play-by-play), Rod Gilmore (color) and Quint Kessenich (sideline) calling the action. The game can also be seen online or on any mobile device through WatchESPN and the WatchESPN app.

Tennessee (5-2, 2-2 SEC) looks to extend its three-game winning streak over South Carolina (3-4, 1-4 SEC) in what has become one of the most tightly contested SEC series’ over the last decade.

UT Lady Vols Basketball takes on Arizona State in second round of NCAA Tournament

 

#7 Tennessee Lady Vols (20-13) vs. #2 Arizona State (26-6)

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – The No. 7 seed Lady Vols (20-13) will put their undefeated second round record on the line against No. 2 seed Arizona State (26-6) in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Tempe, Arizona on Sunday at 6:00pm PT/ 9:00pm ET/ 8:00pm CT on ESPN.

The winner will advance to the Sweet 16 and will play a yet-to-be-determined opponent on March 25th in Sioux Falls. Tennessee advanced to the second round on Friday afternoon by defeating No. 10 seed Green Bay, 59-53, coming from eight down in the first half.

Arizona State, meanwhile, romped to a 74-52 win over No. 15 seed New Mexico State to move along to Sunday.

UT Lady Vols Basketball plays Green Bay Friday in first round of NCAA Tournament

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – The No. 7 seed Lady Vols (19-13) will make their 35th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance as they play No. 10 Green Bay (28-4) in the first round in Tempe, Arizona on Friday at 2:00pm PT/ 5:00pm ET / 4:00pm CT on ESPN2. The game is at Wells Fargo Arena on the Arizona State University campus.

Tennessee (19-13, 8-8 SEC) has been awarded a No. 7 seed in the Sioux Falls (South Dakota) Regional of the 64-team 2016 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship.

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Soldier recognized during annual Medic recognition

 

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital  (BACH) medic Staff Sgt. Travis Lander was honored at the 6th Annual Angels of the Battlefield ceremony October 29th, at the Wilma Rudolph Events Center in Clarksville, TN.

Maj. Gen. Richard W. Thomas, Director of Healthcare Operations for the Defense Health Agency, served as the keynote speaker at the event, hosted by Fort Campbell’s Armed Services YMCA.  Lander was among 16 medics honored, nearly half of whom served in Vietnam. The remaining honorees were Fort Campbell active duty Soldiers who served in the most recent conflicts.
