Clarksville Police locate Identity Theft Suspect due to Citizen pointing him out
The citizen pointed out the suspect to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputies that were refueling a vehicle at the BP gas station on Riverside Drive. Clarksville Police Captain Scott Thornton rescues injured Owl
Captain Scott Thornton, CPD, was headed to work this morning and came across an injured owl on Salem Road. It was sitting in the middle of the road and unable to fly. Cumberland River at Clarksville to Crest TonightNational Weather Service (NWS)
Near Clarksville and Dover, river levels will continue to rise slightly, before cresting later this evening. At Clarksville, the Cumberland River is projected to crest at 51.5 feet around midnight tonight. The Cumberland River will crest just after midnight in Dover at 66.8 feet. At least an additional one half to one inch of rainfall is expected across Clarksville-Montgomery County and Middle Tennessee with locally higher amounts possible on already saturated ground conditions through the evening hours tonight. Water levels will continue to rise through tonight around the Nashville area and Minor to Moderate flooding is expected to occur from the Edenwold area through downtown Nashville, and to the Bordeaux area.
