APSU Men's GolfMyrtle Beach, SC – Rising Austin Peay State University (APSU) senior men’s golfer Chase Korte finished second overall at the inaugural Golfweek Myrtle Beach Collegiate.

College golf went prematurely dark on March 12th, the day the NCAA announced it was canceling postseason events across all spring sports in light of COVID-19 Coronavirus.

APSU Men's GolfOpelika, AL – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s golf team jumped a couple of spots up the leaderboard on the final day of the Tiger Invitational presented by Jason Dufner, rallying from a second day swoon over the final 18 holes.

APSU Men's GolfKennesaw, GA – Austin Peay State University (APSU)  Men’s Golf sophomore Chase Korte keeps hanging around the top of leaderboards.

This week, the Metropolis, Illinois native is fifth after 36 holes at the Pinetree Intercollegiate, hosted by Kennesaw State at Pinetree Country Club; his performance, along with those of his Governor teammates, has Austin Peay State University Governors in fourth with 18 holes remaining.

APSU Men's GolfMurfreesboro, TN – A brisk, one-day, 36-hole jaunt across Old Fort Golf Club saw Austin Peay State University men’s golf take a fourth-place finish at the MTSU Intercollegiate into winter break.

The Governors rallied with a second-round 295, blowing past Bowling Green State and into fourth place.

APSU Men's GolfBirmingham, AL – Freshman Chase Korte sits in ninth after the opening 36 holes of the Samford Intercollegiate at Greystone Golf and Country Club.

The Metropolis, Illinois native finished the opening two rounds with a two-over 146 (76-70), rolling in a team-high 24 pars to keep himself near the top of the leaderboard.

APSU Men's GolfClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s golf kicks off its penultimate fall tournament Monday in Birmingham, Alabama’s Greystone Golf and Country Club, site of the two-day Samford Intercollegiate.

The teams will play two rounds Monday, beginning with a shotgun start at 9:00am, and a single round Tuesday, with tee times beginning at 8:30am.

Four inducted into APSU Athletics Hall of Fame Class Saturday

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Four Austin Peay State University athletic legends were enshrined in the APSU Athletics Hall of Fame, Saturday, during a breakfast ceremony in the Dunn Center front lobby.

Chelsea Harris, the greatest women’s golfer in program history; Drake Reed, an all-time great who conquered the OVC during one of the most dominant eras of APSU basketball; and Ron Sebree, a vaunted lineman for the 1977 Ohio Valley Conference football team, were inducted along with the late Tom Lincoln, a star on the hardwood and the gridiron in the late 1940s, who was this year’s Honors category recipient.

They became the 115th, 116th, 117th and 118th members of the APSU Athletic Hall of Fame.

Election 2016Cunningham, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County School District 2 candidate Margaret Pace gave a speech on Saturday, July 30th, 2016 at the 108th annual Lone Oak Picnic put on by the Central Civitan Club.

“I was born in Metropolis Illinois, raised on a cattle farm. I graduated from Murray State College with a bachelors degree. I have two masters degrees from Austin Peay State University. I started my teaching career in Harrisburg Illinois as a primary teacher,” stated Pace. “We moved to Clarksville the next year.”
