Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team wraps up the home portion of its 2017 schedule with a pair of midweek contests.The Govs will first host Evansville in a 6:00pm, Tuesday contest.
Austin Peay then will host Lipscomb in a 1:00pm, Wednesday contest that was moved up from its original May 16th date.
Clarksville, TN – the Roxy regional theaters currently staging their production of the Victor Hugo Classic Les Misérables. Called Epic, grand and uplifting, Les Misérables has captured the hearts of audiences around the world with its powerful affirmation of the human spirit. The Musical is running through May 10th.
Will Sevier stars as the noble Jean Valjean, who has been released after 19 years of unjust imprisonment in pre-revolutionary France, only to find nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. Breaking his parole in hopes of starting a new life, he initiates a life-long struggle for redemption during which he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert (played by Donald Groves), who refuses to believe criminals can change their ways.
Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, March 29th, to Launch Seven-Week Run

This spring, Boublil and Schonberg’s popular masterpiece takes the stage of the Roxy Regional Theatre, March 28th – May 10th.
A grand opening celebration with the cast on Saturday, March 29th, launches the seven-week run of “Les Miserables”. Following that evening’s 8:00pm performance, audience members will be invited onstage to socialize with the cast over champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $50.00 (including the show).
The Roxy Regional Theatre’s opens their production of Disney’s High School Musical 2 this evening. The show is based on the Disney Channel Original Movie written by Peter Barsocchini, the show is directed by Tom Thayer, and features choreography by Chi Lopes. Starring Aaron Riesebeck as Troy Bolton, and Mindy Wedner as Gabriella Montez, Maggie Politi as Sharpay Evans, and Bryan Zoppi as her Brother Ryan. Q108’s Ryan Ploeckelman plays Mr. Fulton the manager of the Country club. The catchy and upbeat music was written by Matthew Gerrard, Robbie Nevil, David N. Lawrence, Faye Greenberg, Randy Petersen, Kevin Quinn, Jamie Houston, Andy Dodd, and Adam Watts. The production mixes professional actors and actresses with the talented kids from the Roxy’s School of the Arts.
In this production, it’s summertime and school is out for the East High Wildcats. Like most kids the Wildcats need summer jobs. Basketball Captain Troy Bolton not only lands a job at the local country club, but also finds positions for his girlfriend Gabriella and the rest of the Wildcats. When Troy starts to worry about his future, Sharpay takes advantage of Troy’s situation to force a wedge between him and Gabriella, and schemes to prevent the Gabriella and the Wildcats from being able to challenge her in the Talent show.

“Hello, I am Johnny Cash”
The Roxy Regional Theatre has always done musicals well, so it is no surprise that the “Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash” was a foot tapping good time. Showcasing the life of country Music Legend Johnny Cash the musical followed his life from his birth, until his death in 2003. The show features Nathan Freeman, Brian C. Veith, Melissa Dowty, and Mindy Wedner. They were backed up by some great musicians Travis Wetzel, Lisa Horngren, John Waddle, Scott Stowe, Thad Wallus, Matt Whittenburg, and Tom Thayer.
The show runs through February 27, playing Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, with a 2pm matinee on Saturday, February 20. Tickets are $20 (adults) and $15 (ages 13 and under). This show is based around music and songs of Johnny and June Carter Cash and features 33 individual numbers mixing the voices of the cast in a harmonious blend.
