Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department (CPD) will be holding Student Traffic Awareness Training (S.T.A.T.) classes at the Grace Nazarene Church on August 25th, and October 20th, 2018. Classes will be held from 9:00am until 1:00pm. These classes are free.
This is a four (4) hour class for high school students between the ages of 15 and 19.

Clarksville Police Department’s Traffic Unit Recognized by the Mothers Against Drunk Driving
Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, December 8th, 2016, Clarksville Police Department Traffic Lt Phil Ashby along with some of his Traffic Unit personnel attended the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Statewide Night of Remembrance—Law Enforcement, Volunteer, and Community Awards Ceremony.
Due to their community involvement in providing our Clarksville youth (ages 15-19) with the Student Traffic Awareness Training (STAT) classes three times per year for the last several years, they were presented with the MADD Middle TN Outstanding Department Award.

Clarksville Police 2016 Student Traffic Awareness Training Classes finished in October
Why STAT Class is Important
Clarksville, TN – For the past several years, Misty Mackens and the Clarksville Police Department’s Traffic Unit, with the assistance of Stephanie Rutherford and the Citizens Police Academy Alumni (CPAA), have hosted Student Traffic Awareness Training (STAT) classes for teens between the ages of 15 and 19.
There are usually three classes per year in the months of May, August, and October. The classes are held on Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm and the classes are free to attend.

Clarksville Police held Student Traffic Awareness Training, May 7th
Clarksville, TN – On May 7th, 2016, Clarksville Police Department Traffic Unit Officers along with CPD’s Misty Mackens put on the Student Traffic Awareness Training (STAT) class.
This is a free four (4) hour class for high school students between the ages of 15 and 19.
30 students attended the class.

Clarksville Police Department hosted an Improvised Alcohol Awareness Class for Clarksville Academy Upperclassmen
Clarksville, TN – On Wednesday April 29th, 2015 at 1:00pm, the Clarksville Police Department hosted an Improvised Alcohol Awareness Class for the Junior and Senior classes from Clarksville Academy at their outdoor Sports Complex off of Hwy 48-13.
The purposes of the class was to educate teens on the dangers of impaired driving, educate on DUI laws, and to influence a reduction in the underage consumption of alcohol.
Over 60 Clarksville Academy Students attended the CPD’s Improvised Alcohol Awareness Class.
