Washington, D.C. – Our new Nashville Office will open on March 1st.
I am thrilled to announce we will open our new Nashville office on March 1st. The address will be 3322 West End Avenue, Suite 610, Nashville TN 37203. It will be the sixth and final office we open in Tennessee.
The opening of the Nashville office will complete our in-state set-up. We are the first of the freshmen U.S. Senate offices to have all of our state offices up and running. Since being sworn in on January 3rd, we have been working each and every day to serve Tennesseans across the state.
Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT)
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that in Montgomery County on SR 149 and SR 13 there will be Grading, Drainage, and Construction of Bridge work, as well as Retaining Wall work and Paving from River Road to Zinc Plant Road daily, from 9:00am-3:00pm.
There will be periodic flagging operations along SR 13 and SR 149 for clearing and grade work operations.
Tennessee Highway Patrol
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is partnering with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO), Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), and local law enforcement agencies across Tennessee in an effort to keep one of the state’s busiest roads safe.
Enforcement efforts will focus on U.S. Hwy 70 statewide. This is a strict traffic enforcement campaign that will take place on July 31st and August 3rd. This intensified enforcement effort is referred to as “Safe on Seventy.”
U.S. Hwy. 70 runs West to East through 36 counties in Tennessee encompassing 538 miles. U.S. Hwy. 70 ends at the North Carolina state line. Along the route, the roadway runs parallel to several U.S. and state highways, including those in all three of the state’s major cities (Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville).
Tampa, FL – Gas prices declined for the tenth consecutive day on Sunday. Gas prices in Tennessee declined 2 cents during the past week. The average price for gasoline in Tennessee is averaging $2.61 per gallon. Sunday’s state average a half cent less than a month ago, yet 56 cents more than this time last year.

Clarksville, TN – A seven-meet schedule awaits Austin Peay State University’s cross country teams when the season opens up in late August, head coach Doug Molnar announced Wednesday.
The season commences August 31st with a trip to Southern Illinois for the Carbondale Opener, SIU’s first attempt at a home meet since 2014.

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators ended their brief three game losing streak in the friendly confines of Bridgestone Arena tonight with a hard earned shootout win against the Minnesota Wild, 2-1.
With the win, Nashville extends their NHL points lead to 109 points.
The Predators were anxious to break the streak they were on and to avenge the loss on Saturday night to Minnesota, 4-1.
Roman Josi got the Predators off to an early 1-0 lead at 2:51 of the first period. It was a one-timer off the faceoff that blistered past Minnesota goalie, Devan Dubnyk.

Nashville, TN – The leadership of 101st Airborne Division Artillery Brigade along with the 101st Airborne Division Band, took part in the Nashville Predators’ Military Salute Week at Bridgestone Arena.
During the Predators’ March 6th game against the Dallas Stars, the Big 5 Band played during the first and second intermission. Positioned just above the Zamboni tunnel, they performed classic rock covers for the more than 17,000 fans who filled the arena.
“Before a big performance like this I always get very excited. It’s fantastic that this large of an audience will be hearing Army music tonight,” said Pfc. Shawn McGovern, an Army musician with the 101st Airborne Division Band.
“This our 6th Annual Chocolate Affair,” Clarksville Parks and Recreation Event Planning Specialist Kara Zahn said, “Parks and Recreation puts this on each year, and this time we are teaming up with Healthy Clarksville to bring a healthy vendor section.”
