Clarksville Gas and Water announces College Street Lane Closure

Clarksville Gas and Water DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has closed the eastbound lane of College Street to traffic from North 1st Street to North 2nd Street for natural gas line maintenance. The lane will be closed until approximately 2:30pm.

Motorists are advised to be alert and aware of workers and equipment when approaching the work zone and to slow down and obey directional signs.

College Street Water Outage and Road Closure Planned

Clarksville Gas and Water DepartmentClarksville, TN – Gas and Water construction crews plan to replace a twelve-inch water valve at the intersection of College Street and Spring Street on Wednesday evening at 5:00pm. During the valve work crews will close College from North 1st Street to Riverside Drive and Spring Street from Jefferson to College.

A water outage will also be in effect on College Street from North 1st to Riverside Drive until 10:00pm when the roads will reopen. The scheduled work will be dependent on weather conditions.

A crew will turn off water service on South 7th Street from Madison Street to Franklin Street at 8:00am to 2:00pm to replace a fire hydrant near the intersection of South 7th Street and Madison and a two-inch water meter on South 7th Street between Commerce and Franklin. «Read the rest of this article»

College Street Water Outage and North 1st Street Road Closure Planned

Clarksville Gas and Water DepartmentClarksville, TN – A Gas and Water construction crew will turn off water service on College Street from North 3rd Street to North 1st Street and on Jefferson Street from North 1st Street to North 2nd Street to install a 12-inch water valve. Water will be out from 8:00am to approximately 3:00pm and area residents may experience low water pressure during the work.

Workers will also close College Street from North 2nd Street to North 1st Street.

Rutherford county Top Ten Most Wanted in Custody

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has removed a Middle Tennessee man from the state’s most wanted fugitive list after he was taken into custody this morning by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Nashville, TN.

Shondell Latete Frazier, 35, of Murfreesboro, TN was captured this morning at approximately 11:00am at the Knights Inn located at North 1st Street and Jefferson. He was arrested without incident.

Shondell Latete FrazierFrazier was wanted by the Murfreesboro Police Department on five counts of rape, five counts of incest and probation violation.

Earlier this year, the Murfreesboro Police Department received information that Frazier had a sexual relationship with a minor female. Evidence in the case was presented to the grand jury and Frazier was subsequently indicted.

Frazier was booked into the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.
