On Saturday, August 9th, exactly two weeks from the first practice, Tennessee plays its first of four preseason games, hosting the Green Bay Packers at LP Field.

Furthermore, the Titans have a mere 43 days from the outset of camp until their regular season schedule kicks off September 7th in Kansas City versus the Chiefs.

Tennessee Titan’s Matt Hasselbeck and Jake Locker Compete for Quarterback Job

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – Matt Hasselbeck and Jake Locker figure to have a little more than three weeks to stake a claim to the Tennessee Titans starting quarterback job.

Titans coach Mike Munchak threw the position open for competition during the off-season. Hasselbeck had a solid year as a free agent addition in 2011 and has been mentoring Locker, the former first-round pick.

The quarterbacks alternated reps during the first practice Saturday, a pattern that is likely to continue until a decision is made. Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The National Football League has announced its 2012 preseason schedule, which includes a primetime ESPN contest at LP Field between the Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals on Thursday, August 23rd.

The Titans open the preseason on the road against the Seattle Seahawks (weekend of August 9th-13th). The following week they travel to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers (August 16th-20th). NFL announces 2011 Preseason Schedule


Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The National Football League announced the preseason schedule this afternoon and the Titans will host the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears.

The Titans open the preseason slate at LP Field with a visit from the Vikings (weekend of August 11th-14th) and will travel to face the St. Louis Rams in week two (weekend of August 18th-21st). Weeks three and four of the preseason have the Titans at home hosting the Chicago Bears (August 25th-28th) and finishing at New Orleans (September 1st or 2nd). Final dates and times will be announced over the next month.

Titans single game tickets go on sale July 31st


Nashville, TN — Single-game tickets to all 10 Tennessee Titans home games at LP Field will go on sale Saturday, July 31st at 10:00am (CST).

Approximately 3,000 tickets for each game will be made available to the public. Fans can purchase a maximum of up to four tickets per game for as many as two games.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting the ticket office at LP field, calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000, visiting any Ticketmaster outlet, or logging on to the Ticketmaster web site at
