UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 20/22 Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team (11-3, 5-1 SEC) closes out its four-game homestand Sunday with a Southeastern Conference match-up vs. Florida (9-7/2-6 SEC) at Thompson-Boling Arena.

UT, which is third in the standings and one of only three SEC teams with one loss or fewer in league play (along with South Carolina and Texas A&M), tips it off on The Summitt against the Gators at 1:02pm CT.

Tennessee enters this contest after carding its second one-point victory of the season in three such games, coming from 13 points down and then holding on for the win over Ole Miss, 68-67, on Thursday night in Knoxville.

Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball defeats #13 Arkansas 88-77 to open SEC play

 

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – The Tennessee women’s basketball team opened SEC play with a victory over No. 13/13 Arkansas at home on Thursday night, winning 88-73 via an impressive 53.6 shooting percentage.

Senior Rennia Davis and junior Rae Burrell paced UT (7-1, 1-0 SEC), each turning in 26 points. Davis recorded her 33rd career double-double with an all-around effort, adding 11 rebounds, five assists, and two steals to go along with her season-high point total. Senior Kasiyahna Kushkituah and sophomore Jordan Horston were also in double digits, chipping in 11 each.

#9 Tennessee Vols Basketball gets 79-74 home win over Arkansas

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Nine team blocks and an all-around outing from senior Wooden Award candidate John Fulkerson propelled the ninth-ranked Tennessee basketball team past Arkansas, 79-74, on Wednesday at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Over the course of the night, Tennessee (8-1, 2-1 SEC) committed just five turnovers, while forcing Arkansas (9-2, 1-2 SEC) to turn it over 20 times.

Fulkerson stuffed the stat sheet Wednesday, scoring 16 points, reeling in eight rebounds, blocking three shots, and dishing off three assists.

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team (6-1, 0-0 SEC) finally opens Southeastern Conference play on Thursday, as No. 13/13 Arkansas (10-2, 1-1 SEC) comes to Thompson-Boling Arena.
 
The Lady Vols, who are receiving votes in the AP and USA TODAY Coaches Polls, and the Razorbacks will tip at 5:32pm CT in UT’s first game since it defeated Lipscomb, 77-52, in Knoxville on December 28th.
 
Kellie Harper‘s squad paused team activities on December 29th and had contests vs. Texas A&M and Kentucky postponed last week due to COVID-19 Coronavirus contact tracing within the program.

Tennessee Vols football falls to #2 Alabama Crimson Tide 48-17 at Neyland Stadium

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – The Tennessee Vols football team got a pair of touchdown passes from senior quarterback Jarrett Guarantano and a career-best day from freshman wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, but it wasn’t enough for the Vols to keep pace in a 48-17 setback to the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide at Neyland Stadium on Saturday.
 
Guarantano who had scoring passes of 38 yards to Hyatt and 27 yards to senior wide receiver Josh Palmer, finished the day 13 of 24 through the air. He moved into seventh on UT’s career passing yards list (5,976) after throwing for 162 yards vs. the Crimson Tide. Guarantano moved past Jeff Francis (1985-88), who threw for 5,867 yards during his career.

Tennessee Vols Basketball falls at #13 Auburn, 73-66

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsAuburn, AL – A career-high 28 points from senior Jordan Bowden wasn’t enough to push the Tennessee men’s basketball team past 13th-ranked Auburn, as the Vols fell, 73-66, inside Auburn Arena on Saturday.

Tennessee fell to 15-12 overall and 7-7 in SEC play, while the Tigers improved to 23-4 and 10-4 in league action.

Bowden scored his 28 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field, and he was 7-of-7 from the foul line. The Knoxville native has now knocked down 20 consecutive attempts from the charity stripe. He also added a game-high six assists to his already stuffed stat line.
