Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Santa’s missing reindeer.

Santa Claus visited Montgomery County on Monday, December 17th, 2018 to conduct a preliminary test flight, check chimney integrity, and review his local naughty and nice list.

After setting his reindeer up in a warm barn with fruitcakes for lunch, Santa left the area to search for his own meal.

Montgomery Central Elementary School performs “The Reindeer Whisperer” for the holidays

 

The Reindeer WhispererCunningham, TN – The Montgomery Central Elementary School’s 5th Grade and Central Sound held their annual Christmas Program on Thursday, December 17th, 2015. This year they performed the musical “The Reindeer Whisperer”.

It begins the day before Christmas Eve. Santa Claus is ready for his annual test drive before the big day with his reindeer. However, he finds the reindeer can’t fly, or maybe they won’t fly. Santa and the elves know something is wrong, but they can’t figure it out.

Tennessee Department of Agriculture Launches Chronic Wasting Disease Herd Certification Program

 

Voluntary Program aimed at farmed deer, elk and other cervidae

The Tennessee Department of AgricultureNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Agriculture is launching a voluntary Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) Herd Certification Program aimed at preventing the disease in farmed deer, elk and other cervidae in the state.

“Chronic Wasting Disease is a transmissible disease of cervidae that causes weight loss and eventual death of the infected animal,” said assistant state veterinarian Sara Clariday, DVM. “Although the disease has not been diagnosed in Tennessee, we want to work with captive cervidae owners to prevent the introduction of this disease, which could have a severe economic impact on producers in our state.” «Read the rest of this article»

Fort Campbell’s Winter Wonderland presented by University of Phoenix and MWR

On December 1st, from 9:00am until 5:00pm, and on December 2nd, from 12:00pm until 4:00pm, you and your Family can wander through the Outdoor Recreation area and celebrate the season.
