Nashville, TN – Nashville Sounds beat Round Rock Express 4-2 at First Tennessee Park Tuesday night helped along by great pitching from Sounds bullpen. Seth Maness earned his third win of the season and while David Carpenter earned his seventh save of the season.
The first score of the game came from Round Rock when Alex De Goti hit an RBI single in the top of the third to make it 1-0, Express.
Nashville tied the game in the bottom half of the third when Zack Granite scored on an error by Round Rock starter Akeem Bostick.
Round Rock, TX – The Nashville Sounds beat Round Rock Express Friday night 9-3 at the Dell Diamond thanks to five strong innings from pitcher Tim Dillard. Hunter Cole plated three RBI’s on 4 for 5 hitting.
The win evened the five-game set at one win apiece and snapped the Sounds’ losing streak against Round Rock at five.
The Sounds never trailed in the game, as they scored three runs in the second to chase Express starter Cy Sneed. Cole and Zack Granite smashed run-scoring singles, and Patrick Wisdom drew a bases-loaded walk. Then Cole drove in another run in the third inning with a single, and Delino DeShields drew a bases-loaded free pass to make it 5-0.
Round Rock, TX – The Round Rock Express had the last laugh as infielder Nick Tanielu hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Express past the Nashville Sounds, 9-5, in a back-and-forth game on Wednesday night at Dell Diamond.
Tanielu’s walk-off grand slam came off Sounds reliever Miguel Del Pozo with nobody out in the bottom of the 10th, and just moments after Nashville squandered a bases-loaded, nobody out opportunity of their own in the top of the 10th.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators pulled out the win in overtime tonight against the visiting Edmonton Oilers, 3-2. The game went to a shoot-out where new acquired Brian Boyle scored the game winner to earn the Predators the valuable extra point.
In front of country superstar Garth Brooks and hockey legend Wayne Gretzky and a fired up Smashville crowd, the Predators did what they had to do and that was fight to the end.
On a day that saw Nashville trade away Kevin Fiala and Ryan Hartman, for the services of Wayne Simmons and Mikael Granlund, the Predators are now set for a Stanley Cup playoff run.
Dallas, TX – The Nashville Predators defeated the Dallas Stars in a highly entertaining game tonight 5-3. Pekka Rinne stood tall in net for the Predators to keep Nashville in this one, giving the boys a chance to win it.
The Predators win the season series against the Stars with the win tonight, in what many feel will be a first round matchup for the Stanley Cup playoffs. The two teams have already been announced as the feature of the Winter Classic.
Brian Boyle continues to show why the Predators made a trade for him just a couple of weeks ago as he lit the lamp first for the Predators at 10:50 of the opening frame. It was Boyle’s second goal for the Predators since joining the team and got Nashville the early lead, 1-0.
Las Vegas, NV– The Las Vegas Golden Knights ran roughshod over the Nashville Predators tonight in sin city, breaking a five game home losing streak with the win, 5-1.
Nashville starting goalie Juuse Saros blocked 45 shots on the night, but Las Vegas attempted the most shots on goal for the season against Nashville with 50.
The Predators thought they had the first goal of the night in the first period when Colton Sissons scored on a breakaway, but the goal was disallowed when Vegas challenged for off side. After the video review, it was determined that Sissons WAS in fact off side, so no goal.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators finally righted the ship with a 3-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens tonight at Bridgestone Arena.
Newly acquired big man Brian Boyle scored his first goal as a Predator and Viktor Arvidsson added to his torrid scoring streak for the victory.
Arvidsson scored his 24th goal of the season tonight, a remarkable feat considering he was injured and didn’t return to the lineup until New Years Eve. Nashville wrapped up a three game home stand and snapped a three game losing streak tonight with the win.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators almost let this one get away, but in the end, Colton Sissons was able to score the game winner in overtime for the 4-3 Nashville win over the Vancouver Canucks.
It was a bit of sweet revenge for the Predators after the beatdown they suffered in Vancouver last week.
Nashville is still working their way through the injury bug with Viktor Arvidsson and P.K Subban still unavailable. The Predators did get Kyle Turris back in the lineup tonight for the win, and that meant Eeli Tolvanen was sent down to Milwaukee this morning.
Vancouver, BC – The Nashville Predators dug too big of a hole in Vancouver tonight, and couldn’t climb back out, losing to the Vancouver Canucks, 5-3.
Nashville is on a two game Canadian road trip and will travel to Calgary for a Saturday night matchup against the Flames. Vancouver will return to Nashville next week.
Alexander Edler started the scoring for Vancouver at 7:48 of the first period with a slap shot that beat Pekka Rinne for the early 1-0 lead. Edler was assisted by Nikolay Goldobin and Elias Pettersson on the score.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators couldn’t get head coach Peter Laviolette his 200th victory as the Nashville bench boss tonight as the Colorado Avalanche proved to be too much, winning in Nashville, 3-2.
Colorado was led by Nathan MacKinnon who scored twice on the night and ended Nashville’s 11 game win streak against the Avs, and also ended Nashville’s six-game home win streak.
The Predators got on the board first when Ryan Hartman scored off of a rebound to put Nashville ahead 1-0.
