Operation Blackout began October 22nd, 2015 and is a yearly, massive statewide sweep to ensure registered sex offenders under TDOC supervision follow strict guidelines for the fall season and Halloween. BOPP Restricts Sex Offenders from Halloween Activities

 

Tennessee Board of Probation and ParoleNashville, TN – The Board of Probation and Parole’s officers are again enforcing Halloween and fall festival restrictions against sex offenders under the agency’s supervision. Each sex offender has signed a letter acknowledging that they are prohibited from participating in Halloween activities.

BOPP Chairman Charles Traughber said, “The safety of Tennessee’s communities is the top job for our staff all year long. But each year, we inform sex offenders under our supervision that Halloween and fall festival activities are inappropriate for them. Governor Haslam signs Bill restricting Sex Offenders from Public Libraries

 

The Seal of the State of TennesseeNashville, TN – On Wednesday, June 22nd, Governor Bill Haslam signed Senate Bill 710, which increases restrictions against registered sex offenders entering public libraries.

The bill was sponsored by State Senator Tim Barnes and State Representative John Tidwell who were present for the signing.

TBI Adds Sex Offender to Most Wanted List

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has added a known sex offender who is in violation of the state’s sex offender registry and was caught with his original victim in his home during a home check by law enforcement.

Christopher Wayne Federico, 33, last known address 2405 Pafford, Nashville, TN is wanted by the Nashville Metro Police Department for assault, resisting arrest, evading arrest, violating his probation and violation of the sex offender registry. In 2005, Federico was convicted of attempted aggravated sexual battery of an 8-year-old girl.
