Blanchfield Army Community Hospital joins Department of Defense in Sexual Assault Reporting Virtual Summit

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH)Fort Campbell, KY – More than 150 Sexual Assault Response Team members from across the U.S. Department of Defense met online April 7th–8th, 2021 for a virtual summit aimed at increasing knowledge and awareness of the processes victims may experience when reporting a sexual assault.

“A SART member provides high-quality services and support to military victims of sexual assault. That support is intended to strengthen resiliency and instill confidence and trust in the reporting process,” said Col. Patrick T. Birchfield, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, commander.

FBI Seeking Individual Who May Have Information Regarding the Identity of Child Sexual Assault Victim

 

Federal Bureau of Investigation - FBIMemphis, TN – The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking the public’s assistance with obtaining identifying information regarding an unknown male who may have critical information pertaining to the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation.

The attached photographs and informational poster depicting the unknown individual, known only as John Doe 42, are being disseminated to the public, and can be found here: https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/ecap/unknown-individual—john-doe-42.

Clarksville Police report Kenneth Hudspeth arrested for 1996 murder of Crista Bramlitt

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On October 28th 1996, at 2:45pm, Clarksville Police Officers responded to 418 Peachers Mill Road Lot 45, Sunnydale Mobile Home Park, in connection to a deceased 23 year old female found inside identified as Crista Bramlitt.

There were obvious signs which pointed to her being a victim of a homicide and indicators of sexual assault. An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was suffocation.

Blanchfield, Fort Campbell officials examine response for victims for Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH)Fort Campbell, KY – Officials from Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell and the local community held a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Summit February 6th to 8th to examine processes and protocols used when responding to reports of sexual assault and domestic violence.

“Domestic violence and sexual assault are still happening and there is absolutely no room for it,” said Brig. Gen. Todd Royar, deputy commanding general for support, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), to more than 100 summit participants, which included first responders, medical personnel, victim advocates, military and civil law enforcement officials, social workers and counselors, staff judge advocates and civic officials from surrounding communities.

TBI arrests Johnny McDaniel of Portland for Rape of a Child

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has resulted in the indictment and arrest of a Portland man on a charge of rape of a child.

At the request of 18th District Attorney General Ray Whitley, on May 24th, Special Agents began investigating the report of a sexual assault of a child in Portland. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that identified Johnny McDaniel as the individual responsible for the sexual assault of a child under the age of eighteen, which occurred on March 24th.

Clarksville Police seek public help identifying Sexual Assault Suspect

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are asking for assistance identifying the owner of a pickup truck involved in a reported sexual assault occurring in the area of Walnut Street.

On Monday, January 29th, 2018, around noon, the suspect followed the victim to her residence and sexually assaulted her. The man is described as a white male in his 60’s, Blue eyes, short cut gray hair, no facial hair, 185-200 lbs., and was wearing a black ball cap, blue jeans, black shirt, black tennis shoes, with a a grey/silver wristwatch.

Austin Peay State University student Tia Jones discuses overcoming abuse in memoirs, titled “Come See a Man”

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Tia Jones, a communication student at Austin Peay State University was in Germany, serving her country in the U.S. Army, when her past finally caught up to her.

A native of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Jones grew up in a self-described broken home. Raised by her mother, Jones did not meet her biological father during her early years, and in his absence, a six-year-old Jones found suffering as the victim of sexual assault at the hands of her mother’s boyfriend.
