Detrick Mostella scores 25 points in Tennessee Vols 72-68 win over East Tennessee State

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsJohnson City, TN A career-high 25 points from Detrick Mostella led Tennessee to its first true road win of the season, a 72-68 victory over East Tennessee State on Thursday night.

Robert Hubbs III also finished in double figures, scoring 11 for the Vols. UT also got a defensive boost from true freshman forward Grant Williams, who finished the game with a game-high nine rebounds (seven defensive) and four blocks.

A tight one throughout, the Vols (7-5) and Buccaneers (9-3) battled through nine ties and 12 lead changes. Tennessee took its largest lead of the game at the halftime break, leading 32-23 after Mostella reeled of 13 straight points over the final 2:33 of the first half.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee concludes its pre-Christmas schedule on Tuesday when welcomes in-state foe ETSU to Thompson-Boling Arena for a 7:00pm ET tipoff. A live streaming broadcast of the game will be available online only through SEC Network +.

The Vols (5-5) will be aiming to stay perfect at home this season as they are a perfect 5-0 at Thompson-Boling Arena in 2015-16. UT has showcased an uptempo and efficient offense in Knoxville, averaging 86.2 points per game in its five home wins. The senior duo of Kevin Punter Jr. and Armani Moore has been the catalyst behind those offensive figures as the tandem is putting up an average of 43.2 ppg at home.

Nashville, TN – Attributes of a great leader include honesty, integrity, accountability, responsibility, trust, passion, able to inspire and having the capability to listen and communicate, stated by Howard Putnam, the former chief executive officer of Southwest Airlines and a speaker at the latest Get Motivated Seminar held at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, October 17th.

Get Motivated Seminar Inc. is a personal training and development company comprised of well-known leaders who speak at large venues on the topic of leadership.  In the crowd of about 17,000 were 196 Strike Soldiers and Leaders of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), who learned much from the high profile motivational speakers.
