2016 Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit (TOYS) Set June 12th-17th

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The Seventh Annual Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit (TOYS), will be June 12th-17th, 2016 for high school students from across Tennessee. The students will be introduced to many outdoor activities at the event to be held at the Montgomery County Shooting Complex near Clarksville.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation are partnering to host this year’s event.

TWRA to host 6th annual Tennessee Outdoors Summit (TOYS), June 7th-12th

 

6th Annual Tennessee Outdoors Summit (TOYS) to be held at Montgomery County Shooting Complex

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will host the Sixth Annual Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit (TOYS), June 7th-12th, 2015 for high school students from across Tennessee. The students will be introduced to many outdoor activities at the event to be held at the Montgomery County Shooting Complex near Clarksville, TN.

Among the different outdoor activities that the students will have an opportunity to become introduced to will include boating, hunting, trapping, archery, photography, marksmanship, plant identification, forestry, camping, water quality, trap shooting, skeet shooting, wildlife identification, and several classes with wildlife and fish biology as the topic. Metro Nashville Police to Hold Toy Drive at Nashville Zoo

 

Zoo Admission Tickets Offered for Donated Gifts

Nashville ZooNashville, TN – Metro Nashville Police Department’s Mounted Patrol Division will collect donated toys for its annual Christmas Basket Program on December 13th and 14th at Nashville Zoo. As an added incentive, the Zoo is offering a complimentary admission ticket for every new toy donated.

Metro police officers will collect the toys in the Zoo’s parking lot from 9:00am–4:00pm. Kids are invited to drop off letters to Santa Claus that the officers will deliver to the North Pole in time for Christmas.

Horses from the Mounted Patrol Division will also be available for guests to meet. Located next to the toy drive, the Zoo will offer a selection of toys that guests can purchase for the purpose of donating to the toy drive.

Free Toys at Fort Campbell’s Winter Wonderland Courtesy of Operation Homefront Tennessee/Kentucky Field Office

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Thanks to the wonderful support Fort Campbell receives from Operation Homefront – Tennessee/Kentucky Field Office, there will be small toys available for free to the children attending Winter Wonderland and the Annual Tree Lighting on Friday, December 5th.

Operation Homefront will have a tent and tables set up at the Town Center Park beginning at 3:00pm and ending at 7:00pm. Be sure to stop by their tent while you enjoy Winter Wonderland and the Annual Tree Lighting.

In celebration of the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County’s biggest event of the year, the 8th Annual Wags to Witches Fur Ball Bash, being held on October 25th at the Riverview Inn, pet owners are invited to submit their pet photo(s) to compete for the coveted title of King and Queen of Wags to Witches 2014.
