Clarksville Parks and Recreation to hold Back to School Splash August 3rd

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Saturday, August 3rd, 2019, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will hold a pool party at the annual Back to School Splash from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

Registered students will enjoy a fun time at the pool and will receive a backpack full of grade-appropriate school supplies along with a hot dog or pizza, chips, drink and cookie.

Clarksville’s Trane company welcomed into Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation’s Green Star Partnership

Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC)Clarksville, TN – Trane®, a leading provider of indoor comfort solutions and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand®, is the latest inductee into the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation’s (TDEC) Green Star Partnership for exemplary environmental actions in manufacturing at the company’s Clarksville facility.

The facility in Clarksville was built in 1958 and has expanded over the years to include 1.2 million sq. ft. of production and warehouse space. The plant is located on approximately 110 acres in the heart of Clarksville.

Clarksville’s Trane Facility Awarded $25,000 for Incumbent Worker Training & Apprenticeship Grants

 

TraneClarksville, TN – Trane, a world leader in indoor comfort solution and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, was awarded $25,000 for an Incumbent Worker Training grant (IWT) and $25,000 for an Apprenticeship training program for the Clarksville, Tennessee facility.

The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development offers eligible Tennessee employers competitive grant funding to provide skills upgrades for existing workers or train new hires as an incentive to grow their business.

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – With July quickly approaching on the calendar, Austin Peay State University’s all-time sports information director, and Athletics Department Hall of Famer member, Brad Kirtley is nearing the end of a 30+ year career at the university as he heads into retirement.

Kirtley became APSU’s sports information director in February 1984 — replacing another Athletics Department Hall of Famer member Sherwin Clift — after working in the Southeast Missouri State University’s sports information office.

Clarksville Police arrest Timothy Wallace in Reference to Four Bomb Threats at Trane

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Tuesday, September 9th, 2014, Timothy Wallace was booked into Montgomery County Jail on his indictment in reference to four bomb threats at Trane, a local air efficiency business in Clarksville.

The threats occurred between the months of March and July of this year. All four threats were handwritten in various locations on the premises, such as; a wall, a bathroom stall divider, a toilet paper dispenser, and, a bathroom wall.

First Class of 2014 Completes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Workshops

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – The first class of 2014 completed the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program (CMCGCP) workshops. The group began in January and concluded a series of three workshops that lasted approximately three hours each in March.
