Dodging The Roadkill: Hanging With The MC’s

Editor’s note:  This article is from our motorcycle blog, Dodging the Roadkill at www.clarksvillemotorcycle.com

Dodging the Roadkill - A Biker's Journey Clarksville, TN – I had an amazing night last night.  I went to a crawfish boil, sponsored by one of the local Motorcycle Clubs.  The Subdued Few sponsored an open house and it was open to “anyone and everyone.”

Let me give you the back story.

If you’ve been following my journey here, (and I appreciate that you do), I wrote a series of articles on “Biker Gangs.”  If you didn’t read the stories, they’re here, here, and here.  I would recommend that you read them first before you continue with this article.

New Austin Peay State University scholarship honors late Clarksville teacher Lynda Conner

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – When Lynda Wilkerson Conner attended Austin Peay State University in the early 1960s, she had a hard time finding a place to do her student teaching. Clarksville was a small, quiet town in those days, with a population of about 22,000 people and only a handful of public schools scattered around the area.

In order to fulfill her student teaching requirement and graduate, Conner had to travel nearly an hour out of town to a rural school in Greenbriar, Tennessee.
