City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Medical officials and family members are crediting the quick, decisive actions of trash hauler Ray Davidson and Clarksville first responders for helping to save a local woman who had collapsed on a neighborhood street.

Kelly Plummer, a 45-year-old North Clarksville woman, was walking her dogs Monday morning when she was stricken with respiratory failure and passed out, said her father, Tom Blanton.

LEAP’s Capital Campaign receives $5,000 Investment from Waste Industries

 

LEAP OrganizationClarksville, TN – Waste Industries donated $5,000 to support youth and individuals seeking to attain emotional wellness and economic independence as a part of LEAP ORG’s Youth Program.

Thane Harrison, Waste Industries General Manager supports his company’s Full Circle Project, a Clarksville-based charitable effort allowing its customers to enroll in e-billing to choose where the companies charitable giving should be directed.

LEAP ORG was selected because they have served over 1100 youth ages 11 to 24 since 2009.

Fort Campbell Soldiers and Family Members attend National Night Out 2015

 

Campbell CrossingNashville, TN – Recently, Campbell Crossing hosted their 2015 National Night Out event. The event was a success with more than 2,000 Fort Campbell Soldiers and family members that came out to participate in this nationwide celebration.

National Night Out is geared toward heightening crime prevention awareness and strengthening the neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships while sending a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are fighting back.

Hilldale Civitan Club to hold 40th Annual State of Tennessee Old-Time Fiddlers’ Championship

 

Old Time Fiddlers ChampionshipsClarksville, TN – On March 8th and 9th 2013, the Hilldale Civitan Club will hold its official “Old-Time Fiddlers’ Championship and Festival” at Rossview High School.

The festival will begin on Friday, March 7th starting at 7:00pm and continue on Saturday, March 8th starting at 9:00am.

Fort Campbell hosts Spring Job Fairs

 

101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell’s Army Career and Alumni Program and the Army Community Service Family Employment Readiness Program held back to back jobs fairs, for soldiers, retirees, and their families which saw more than 119 international, national and local employers taking part. Over 4000 people took advantage of the two day event.

Maj. Gen James C. McConville appreciated the opportunity being presented to his soldiers, “Events like this give our well deserving 101st and Fort Campbell Soldiers the opportunity for a “Smooth Takeoff.” We have some of the best trained, disciplined and fit Soldiers in the 101st Airborne Division, and they will certainly contribute to our great nation after they leave the Army.”
