Congratulations to the 2010 Army Digital Photography Contest Winners

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Results from the 2010 Army Digital Photography Contest have been released. This year 3691 entries were submitted worldwide with 1691 of them selected to compete at the DA level. The contest was judged by professionals from the fields of photography and fine arts with judging criteria to included originality, creativity and technical quality.

Guenette Arts & Crafts Center is proud to announce that this year two photographers from the Fort Campbell area were recognized for their entries.

COL (R) Richard Pugh

1st place for his Photoshop manipulated image titled “The Owl”.
2nd place for his image “Blue Mosque”.
3rd place his landscape called “Point Lobos”.

Brenda Walker also received a 1st place award for her landscape image of an early morning fisherman, “Morning Serenity”. 

These and all the winning photos from this year’s competition may be viewed at the contest website: https://artscrafts.fmwrc.army.mil. AKO usernames and passwords are required to log on, then select “Gallery of Winners” under the “Contest Winners” tab on the menu bar. Also, Viewer’s Choice Voting is open until February 26th 2011. AKO users can vote for their favorite 1st place photos by selecting the “Viewer’s Choice Voting” tab also under “Contest Winners”.
