Pedestrian Fatality on Fort Campbell Blvd

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On April 16th, 2011, around 8:39pm. a pedestrian died on Fort Campbell Blvd after being struck by a motor vehicle. A 2010 Dodge Charger driven by Richard E. Warren, 19, of Fort Campbell was traveling northbound on Fort Campbell Blvd and collided with a 58 year old male pedestrian of Clarksville, walking west crossing the northbound lanes of Fort Campbell Blvd.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Fort Campbell Blvd and Maple Street. The pedestrian died at the scene.

There is no indication that alcohol was a factor for, Richard Warren, the driver of the Dodge Charger.

The name of the pedestrian will not be released until notification of the next of kin.

The investigation is ongoing and the factors behind the collision are still being determined.  The lead investigator is Officer John Reyes, 931-648-0656, ext.  7128.
