Fans can register and vote until February 24th, 2012, and their votes will help select the top 10 finalists. One lucky fan will win a trip to the Power Awards in New York City including round-trip airfare for two, a luxury hotel room, tickets and a red carpet walk at the Awards.

The competition is a part of the American Heart Association’s Power To End Stroke campaign, which educates people about stroke, a leading cause of long-term severe disability and the No. 4 cause of death.  Tennessee has one of the worst stroke rates in the nation and African Americans are at particularly high risk because of high rates of diabetes, high blood pressure and family history of heart disease and stroke.

U.S citizens 18 years and older are eligible. Registration is required to compete or vote. To learn more, visit http://power.watchgmctv.com.
