Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development Board announces Kay Drew as New Chairman

Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development BoardClarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development Board (IDB) is pleased to announce Kay Drew as the Chairman of the Board for the 2012-2013 term.

“I am looking forward to my year as Chairman of the IDB,” said Drew. “The work we do with local business and community leaders helps to make our community a better, more prosperous place.”

“Combining our outstanding Board leadership with the dedication and hard work of the local business and community leaders will make this one of our most successful years yet.  The Board has amazing leadership and has a track record of helping to facilitate projects that have deeply impacted the industrial and corporate landscape of this community.  I deeply respect the members of the Board and look forward to working closely with each of them.”

Drew currently serves as the Head of School for Clarksville Academy, a private Pre-K through 12 college preparatory school.

Also serving on the Executive Committee of the Board this year are; Don Jenkins, Vice-Chairman; Dr. Linda Rudolph, Immediate Past Chairman; John Wallace Crow, Secretary-Treasurer; Niesha M. Wolfe; Mark R. Briggs; Carl Wilson; Billy Atkins and David Chesney.

Ex-Officio members of the board include; Dick Batson, Board Counsel; Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers; Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan and Austin Peay State University President Tim Hall.

The Industrial Development Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month. Meetings are open to the public and notice is posted at the Economic Development Council office, City Hall and the Montgomery County Courts Complex.
