Clarksville, TN – The APSU track and field team will take a small but talented group of athletes to this weekend’s Gainesville-based Florida Relays. The three-day event begins Thursday at James G. Pressly Stadium and Percy Beard Track.Senior Kymmalett Ross will open the meet for the Govs, serving as Austin Peay State University’s lone Thursday competitor; she will run the open 200m dash event to kick off the collegiate portion of the track schedule, 2:00pm (ET)
Junior Myiah Johnson opens a busy Friday for APSU, with her 100m hurdles effort slated to begin at 12:15pm. The field events get started at 1:00pm, with junior Chancis Jones‘ nod in the long jump invitational—the Chattanooga native is one of 15 athletes to gain admittance to the invite field.
Later Friday afternoon (1:55pm ET), Austin Peay’s 400m duo of Breigh Jones and Terri Morris will put their best foot forward against some of the nation’s best.
