Clarksville, TN – Seven preliminary sites for a relocated Clarksville Transit System Transfer Center will be discussed at a public meeting from 5:00pm-7:00pm Tuesday, October 4th at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission, 329 Main Street, Clarksville.
The public is invited to the meeting and also will have 14 days to review and comment on the sites. The list and a comment form will be available online after the meeting at the city’s website, www.cityofclarksville.com

The study is examining the need for and feasibility of relocating the existing CTS Transfer Center on Legion Street to another location, preferably in close proximity to the existing center.
At the first meeting in August, the MPO provided a list of 28 possible sites. After public comments and further analysis based on site criterion for a new transfer center, the list has been narrowed to the seven that will be discussed Tuesday.

After Tuesday’s meeting, the study will identify a preferred site and a backup site for the relocation, and a third public meeting will be conducted in November. The final preferred site or sites will be announced in December, according to the timeline provided by the MPO.
Anyone having questions or comments for the MPO may contact Stan Williams or Jill Hall at 931.645.7448 or email stan.williams@cityofclarksville.com or jill.hall@cityofclarksville.com and/or attend the meeting.
