Clarksville, TN – For the first time in 2019-20, Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball team has entered the ranks of the elite at the mid-major level, earning a ranking in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 poll.

Checking in at No. 21, the Govs are one of three newcomers to the poll this week, two spots behind Murray State at No. 19.
Research pegs this as the first time Austin Peay State University has appeared in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 poll since the 2007 preseason poll. The APSU Govs are just the third Ohio Valley Conference school to earn a ranking this season, joining the Racers and recently-ousted Belmont.
Austin Peay State University will put this new ranking on the line Thursday when SIU Edwardsville pays a visit to the Dunn Center at 8:00pm. The APSU Govs are 14-7 overall and unbeaten in the OVC, beginning the league slate 8-0 for the first time since 2003-04.
