Nevertheless, he posted his third consecutive winning record as a starter (7-6) and set the franchise single-season record with a 68.9 completion percentage.

Mariota’s 27 wins as a starting quarterback in his first four years with the club rank second in franchise annals behind only George Blanda’s 34 victories. Mariota is the fifth player in NFL history to record 12,000 passing yards (12,004) and 1,200 rushing yards (1,270) in his first four NFL seasons, joining Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, Jeff Garcia and Blake Bortles.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program (CMCGCP) held a green ribbon cutting on Tuesday to celebrate Clarksville County Club (CCC) as the newest green organization.

Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, City of Clarksville Chief of Staff Heather Fleming, Chamber of Commerce Director Melinda Shepard, Bi-County Solid Waste Management Director David Graham, Montgomery County Public Information Officer Michelle Newell and CMCGCP Manager Carlye Sommers attended the celebration.

Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson shapes roster

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – With his quarterback in place and five Pro Bowl selections due to return in 2017, among several more core players, Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson can add more through free agency and the 2017 NFL Draft.

The unrestricted free agent signing period is scheduled to begin at the start of the new league year on March 9th, when 2016 contracts expire. Players not under contract for 2017 are free to sign with another club at that point. The Titans are projected to be comfortably below the NFL’s 2017 salary cap, which will exceed its 2016 number of $155 million.

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (0-0) open the regular season this week by hosting the defending NFC North Champion Minnesota Vikings (0-0). Kickoff at Nissan Stadium (capacity 69,143) is scheduled for noon CDT on Sunday, September 11th.

The Titans, who carry into the game a three-game winning streak on opening day, are 30-26 all-time as a franchise in Week 1, including a 5-3 Kickoff Weekend record at Nissan Stadium.

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (0-0) begin the 2016 preseason this week against the San Diego Chargers (0-0). Kickoff at Nissan Stadium (capacity 69,143) is scheduled for 7:00pm CDT on Saturday, August 13th. The contest is a preview of the two teams’ November 6th regular season meeting in San Diego.

The game will be televised regionally on the Titans Preseason TV Network, including flagship WKRN News 2 in Nashville.

Tennessee Titans first Roster under Jon Robinson and Mike Mularkey

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – On the field, Titans fans will get their first glimpse of the team as constructed by new general manager Jon Robinson and Mike Mularkey, each of whom were named to their posts in January by controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk.

Although he is a native of Union City, TN, Robinson is a newcomer to the organization. Mularkey was hired as tight ends coach in 2014, promoted to assistant head coach/tight ends coach during the 2015 offseason, and then spent the final nine games of 2015 as interim head coach.

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – Ben Jones (6-3, 308) joins the Tennessee Titans after four seasons and 64 games (43 starts) with the Houston Texans. During his four seasons in the NFL, he registered 16 starts at center, 16 starts at left guard and 11 starts at right guard.

Over the last two years, Houston ranked seventh in sacks allowed (62) and ninth in rushing yards (3,892).
