Tennessee Vols Basketball opens season with 56-47 win over Colorado Buffaloes

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – In its first game in 276 days, the 12th-ranked Tennessee basketball team took down the Colorado Buffaloes in a tight defensive affair, 56-47 at Thompson-Boling Arena Tuesday night.

Tennessee (1-0) saw a balanced effort across the board with nine of 10 Vols who saw action getting on the score sheet, while Jeriah Horne led Colorado (2-1) with 15 points.

Tennessee’s John Fulkerson and Santiago Vescovi led the Big Orange in scoring with 11 points apiece, while Yves Pons was a beast on the boards, pulling in a team-high 10 rebounds. Vescovi also added a game-high five assists.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – The Tennessee Vols men’s basketball team (at long last) tips off its 111th basketball season with a Tuesday night clash against Colorado. The opening jump is slated for 5:00pm CT on SEC Network+.

Tuesday’s game can be seen on SEC Network+, an online platform through WatchESPN and on any mobile device with the ESPN App. Fans can access WatchESPN at espn.com/watch. Roger Hoover and VFL Steve Hamer will have the call.

Fans can also listen live on their local Vol Network affiliate to hear Bob Kesling and Bert Bertlekamp describing the action.

Tennessee Vols Basketball hosts Colorado, Tuesday

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – As the popular saying goes: The sixth time is the charm.
 
After five game cancellations over the last two weeks, the 13th-ranked Tennessee basketball team now aims to open its season Tuesday, December 8th, 2020 welcoming Colorado for a 5:00pm CT tipoff at Thompson-Boling Arena.
 
The game will be streamed on SEC Network+.
 
Tennessee is 2-0 all-time against Colorado, picking up wins in Knoxville and Boulder in 1980 and 1981, respectively. Vols head coach Rick Barnes is 13-4 as a head coach against CU.

APSU Soccer falls at Colorado, 2-0

 

APSU Soccer - Austin Peay State UniversityBoulder, CO – Austin Peay State University (APSU) soccer found itself locked in a close match, before Colorado was able to pull away late in the second half.

The Governors defense kept them in the match in the first half against Colorado.
