Clarksville Mayor swears in new chief, bids farewell to Ansley

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – David Crockarell, a 25-year veteran of the Clarksville Police Department, was sworn in as the city’s 17th Chief of Police Tuesday, July 1st, 2020 in a ceremony that included a warm farewell to retiring Chief Al Ansley and a series of promotions within the department.

Clarksville Police look to identify Scooters Pub & Grill Burglary Suspect

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police request the public’s help to identify the suspect in the video below of the January 28th burglary of Scooters Pub & Grill.

“He is about six feet tall and around 210 to 230 pounds,” stated Detective Channing Bartel. “The suspect appears to have worn white tennis shoes and has an emblem on the front left side of his coat,” Channing added.

Clarksville Police are looking for Best Western Inn Robbery Suspect

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Detective Channing Bartel with the Clarksville Police Department is trying to identify suspects involved in a Clarksville Hotel Robbery and is requesting public assistance.

On Saturday, January 7th, 2017 at 3:52am, a robbery occurred at the Best Western Inn on 275 Alfred Thun Road. One of the three male suspects had a knife.

Clarksville Police respond to Armed Robbery on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department reports a suspect described as a heavyset white female robbed a Wilma Rudolph Boulevard convenience store at 2:12am. The robber was wearing a black beanie, blue jacket, blue jeans, brown steel-toed work boots, and aviator-style sunglasses.

The suspect, who displayed a black handgun, demanded the money in the register. The clerk complied; the suspect escaped with approximately twenty-two dollars in cash.

Clarksville Police are trying to identify Vehicle Burglary Suspects

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Detective Channing Bartel with the Clarksville Police Department is trying to identify two suspects involved in a Vehicle Burglary and is requesting public assistance.

On November 24th, 2016, the victim, who lives off Exit 4, reported that her car had been broken into the night before. The suspects took her credit card and tried to use it at an ATM but failed (ATM was located at Planters Bank 76 Connector).

On Thursday night November 17th, 2016 around 10:17pm, two unknown suspects went through the parking lot of La Quinta Inn located at Exit 4 and broke into a vehicle and took a purse.

Clarksville Police Arrest Sango Pharmacy Armed Robbery Suspect

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Yesterday, November 7th, 2016 at 11:13am, Clarksville Police Officers were dispatched to the Sango Pharmacy on Madison Street near the Richview Road intersection due to an E911 call about an Armed Robbery.

A white male with a handgun wearing a camouflage hat, square glasses with dark rims, and a gray shirt robbed the pharmacy. Immediately the District 3 Criminal Investigations Unit with the assistance of the District 3 Patrol Officers jumped on strong leads that led them to the suspect.

Clarksville Police make public aware of Robbery, Theft, and Aggravated Assault Incidents from Online Buying and Selling Scams

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Currently, the Clarksville Police Department’s District 1 and 3 CI Units are both investigating three different incidents that recently occurred involving buying iPhones online on Craigslist and by using the letgo app.

The sellers-suspects tell the victims that they are selling iPhones (that don’t work properly) and then attempt to get away with the victims’ cash without losing any items of value.

Clarksville Police release photos of Credit Card Skimmer Suspects

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Saturday, August 13th, 2016 the Clarksville Police Department reported that an individual noticed something suspicious about the ATM at the First Advantage Bank on 2070 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. It was discovered that a credit/debit card skimmer was affixed to the mouth of the ATM.

Other skimmers were also found at First Advantage Banks on 929 Madison Street and 1800 Fort Campbell Boulevard. Another Card Skimmer was found at F&M Bank on 1891 Madison Street.

Clarksville Police request help Identifying Vehicle Burglary Suspects

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Detective Channing Bartel is trying to identify two suspects involved in a vehicle burglary and is requesting public assistance.

In the early morning hours of August 7th, 2016 (Sunday), a vehicle was broken into on South Jot Drive. The victim’s purse with her credit card was stolen.

Soon after the burglary, two suspects were seen using the credit card at three different locations.
