Clarksville Police Department - CPDMontgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department partnered with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 at Once Upon A Child (2728 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard #1, Clarksville) and Toys “R” Us (2821 Guthrie Highway, 1496 Mt Zion Boulevard, Clarksville) to offer free car seat inspections and education to the public as part of National Seat Check Saturday.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to hold two Child Seat Checkup Events, Saturday

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – For Child Passenger Safety Week the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting two child seat checkup events this Saturday, September 23rd, 2017.

The first event will be held at Once Upon a Child at 2728 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

The second event will be held at Toys“R”Us at 2821 Guthrie Highway from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.

Citizens Police Academy Alumni helps Clarksville Police Department kick off Child Passenger Safety Week

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Citizens Police Academy Alumni provided the perfect kickoff for Child Passenger Safety Week 2017 by generously donating $1,000 worth of child safety seats to the Clarksville Police Department.

According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) statistics car crashes are the leading cause of death for children. Every 33 seconds in 2015, one child under the age of 13 was involved in a crash.

Clarksville Police Department participates in Child Passenger Safety Week

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recognizes Child Passenger Safety Week as September 14th-20th, 2014.

According to the CDC, car seat use reduces the risk for death to infants (aged <1 year) by 71%, and to toddlers (aged 1–4 years) by 54% in passenger vehicles. Further, misuse rates for child restraints nationally are as high as 85%.
