Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Department Detective Chris Cunningham was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in front of a room filled with friends and well-wishers. Deputy Chief Crockarell officiated the ceremony at Clarksville Police Headquarters.

The promotion was effective March 16th, 2019.

Detective Cunningham was hired with the Clarksville Police Department, December 1st 2009, beginning his career in the patrol division.

Clarksville Police arrest Demarkus Ely for Shooting on Cedar Springs Circle

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Early this morning, Sunday, September 18th, 2016 at 12:55am, Clarksville Police Officers were sent to the scene of a shooting that had occurred at a home on the 1500 block of Cedar Springs Circle.

19-year-old Ashley Ashworth from Clarksville had been shot and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries. District 3 Officers were able to put out a detailed description of both the suspect and his vehicle.

Clarksville Police requests public help identifying suspects Papa Murphy’s Armed Robbery

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Detective Chris Cunningham is trying to identify two suspects involved in an Armed Robbery and is requesting public assistance.

On September 5th, 2016 around 9:15pm (after closing time), two unknown black males entered Papa Murphy’s on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard as one of the employees was taking the trash out. The suspects had a firearm and instructed the manager to give them the money out of the registers and safe. After they had taken the money, the suspects fled on foot.

Clarksville Police look to identify Vehicle Burglary Suspect

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Detective Chris Cunningham is asking for the public’s help to identify this person of interest in a vehicle burglary.

The initial crime occurred at 1930 East Boy Scout Road (Billy Dunlop Park) on June 16th, 2016 between noon and 2:30pm.

The suspect then used the victim’s credit and debit cards at different stores throughout the city.

Clarksville Police charge Juvenile for Multiple Vandalisms off of Meriwether Road; Charges Pending on Two Other Juveniles

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Between the evening hours of October 12th, 2015 and the early morning hours of October 13th, 2015, multiple homes near the Glenhurst Way and Harvest Ridge areas, off of Meriwether Road, were vandalized.

The unknown suspect(s) painted graffiti on the houses, the garage doors, the fences, and other parts of some of the homes. The majority of the homes had the number “527” painted on them.

Clarksville Police request public’s help locating missing juvenile Alexxus Crile

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Detective Chris Cunningham is looking for missing juvenile Alexxus Ronna Crile. Alexxus is a 17 year-old white female with brown hair and blue eyes. Alexxus was last seen at her residence at approximately 9:45pm on October 3rd, 2015.

She was last seen wearing an all-black Chick-Fil-A uniform. She may be in the company of a white male.

Clarksville Police Department makes public aware of the Felony Lane Gang

Throughout the course of his investigation, he has been able to connect these crimes to the Felony Lane Gang (FLG). The following information was provided by Detective Cunningham.

Clarksville Police arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – In the early morning hours this morning September 2nd, 2015, Clarksville Police Officers responded to two Armed Robberies.

The first robbery occurred at 12:31am at the Exxon Hi Road near Exit 4 just north of I-24 on Cracker Barrel Drive. The second robbery occurred at 1:44am at the Exxon Hi Road near Exit 11 just south of I-24 on Hwy 76.

APSU student-athlete recovering from injuries suffered in off-campus incident

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University officials are aware of an off-campus shooting that occurred at approximately 12:40am Sunday. The incident occurred at The Grove apartment complex on Nolen Road.

The shooting resulted in multiple wounds sustained by a football student-athlete. He was transported to a medical facility, where he has undergone multiple surgeries and is expected to recover. The incident is still under investigation by Clarksville Police Department.

Clarksville Police arrest suspect in Nolen Road Shooting

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Sunday morning, August 23rd, 2015 at 12:40am, Clarksville Police Officers responded to a shots fired call on Nolen Road. There was one victim from the shooting.

The suspect is Marcus Mitchell from Clarksville. He was booked into Montgomery County jail and charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Possession, and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia. His total bond amount is $30,500.
