Clarksville Hosts Second Annual Sports Festival

 

Clarksville Sports FestivalClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Department of Parks and Recreation held its second-annual Clarksville Sports Festival on Saturday, March 17th, at the Foy Fitness Center on the campus of Austin Peay State University.  The day-long festival was a celebration of sports and athletics in Clarksville and Montgomery County and featured not only clinics, sports demonstrations and interactive areas, but also seminars and even an exposition area where over 20 of Clarksville and Montgomery County’s athletic and outdoor clubs, businesses and organizations provided information to the community.

Clarksville Greyhounds Youth Football League

The Clarksville Greyhounds finished the 3rd weekend of football with 4 victories and 1 loss. The Greyhound Pee Wee team beat the Shelbyville Eagles 33 to 14. The Greyhound CCC team beat the Cookeville Cavaliers 45 to 6. The Greyhound BBB team loss to the Cookeville Cavaliers 13 to 12. The Greyhound AAA team beat the Cookeville Cavaliers 33 to 0 and the Greyhound Varsity beat the Franklin Cowboys 60 to 0.

The Greyhounds will be home this weekend, September 18th,  against the Davidson County Colts and the Murfreesboro Mustangs.

Clarksville Greyhounds holding 2010 signups

 

“The Clarksville Greyhounds Youth Football League will hold registration for the 2010 season on May 8th, May15th and May 22nd at Greenwood Grounds Complex, 430 Greenwood Avenue, from 10:00 am-2:00 pm. There are five age groups 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14. Players will be assigned to age groups based on their age as of July 31st. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville Greyhounds to hold 2010 signups

 

The Clarksville Greyhounds Youth Football League will be holding registrations for the 2010 season at Governors’ Square Mall on April 10th, 17th and 24th from 10:00 am-2:00 pm. There will be four age groups 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. The Clarksville Greyhounds are a member of the Tennessee Youth Football Alliance and will play teams from various areas throughout Middle TN. Come join in on the excitement!!! Practices begin Monday July 26th and the TYFA Jamboree will be Saturday August 14th.

Clarksville Greyhounds Youth Football League

The Clarksville Greyhounds Youth Football League is forming teams for the 2009 football season. The League has  four age groups: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14. There will also be cheerleaders for each age group.

The Clarksville Greyhounds are a member of the Tennessee Youth Football Alliance. They are traveling teams and will play teams from various areas throughout Middle Tennessee.

The TYFA is a very competitive league and have had players and cheerleaders recognized nationally for academics and athletics. This program includes opportunities to compete in regional and national competitions.

Update: There will be an information booth at Governor’s Square Mall on April 25th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
