Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – On Monday, November 16th, 2020, the Clarksville Gas and Water Department has planned a water outage on a section of Madison Street (Highway 41-A South) from Highway 76 to Country Lane for fire hydrant maintenance work.

The water outage will affect the businesses located in the Clarksville Commons Plaza and the Hananoki Shopping Center listed below as well as the Dollar General Store located at 2410 Madison Street.

Clarksville Gas and Water reports Clarksville Commons Shopping Plaza Water Outage

 

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service in the Clarksville Commons Shopping Plaza on Madison Street and U.S. Highway 41A South to repair a water main leak.

The water outage will affect Food Lion, Wendy’s, Doctor’s Care, Comet Cleaners, Marathon Gas and the Hananoki Shopping Center.

The repair is anticipated to be finished and water service restored by approximately 11:30am.

Beginning Sunday, August 16th, 2015

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has scheduled water main line installation work on Madison Street and U.S. Highway 41A South between McAdoo Creek Road and Hwy 76 beginning Sunday, August 16th, 2015 and lasting for approximately fifteen nights.

City votes on Clarksville’s Best for the March of Dimes

 

Best of Clarksville PosterClarksville, TN – The Best of Clarksville fundraiser for the March of Dimes is eagerly awaited each year by both businesses and area residents. The fundraiser this year featured 140 businesses in 65 categories; each one looking to score the votes of area residents to be declared The Best of Clarksville. The event consists of local vendor booths, silent auctions, dance performances, free give-a-ways, and a fireworks show by Allen’s Fireworks. All of the money raised is donated to the March of Dimes.

Matthews Nissan Suzuki was the presenting sponsor. Other sponsors included Five Star Radio, Sango Village Florist, US Bank, Cumberland Bank and Trust, FedEx, Allen’s Fireworks, Ad One Advertising, WJZM 1400 AM, and The Leaf-Chronicle.
