Clarksville Transit System adding Buses, Vans to Fleet

 

Tennessee Department of Transportation Awards Grant for Accessible Vans

Clarksville Transit System - CTSClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Transit System (CTS) is growing its fleet, recently adding four new paratransit vans and three heavy-duty buses.

CTS was awarded a competitive grant from the Tennessee Department of Transportation to fund the new accessible paratransit vans earlier in September.

Clarksville Police report Clarksville Transit System Bus struck by SUV on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Wednesday, May 31st, 2017 around 12:17pm, Clarksville Police report a Blue Chevy Trailblazer, driven by a juvenile female was on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, southbound in the left turn only lane, entered the left travel lane, and attempted to make a right turn onto Old Trenton Road and collided with a Clarksville Transit System bus traveling southbound in the right travel lane.

The collision caused the bus to leave the south side of roadway onto the embankment.

City of Clarksville gets over $1.6 million in CMAQ Grants

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – On Friday, August 22nd, 2014, Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner John Schroer presented Clarksvile Mayor Kim McMillan with a check for 1.6 million dollars.

That was just one of the grants presented that will benefit Clarksville and Montgomery County.

“We have so many loyal customers and we want to show them our appreciation,” said Arthur Bing of the Clarksville Transit System. “It is CTS’ 27th anniversary and we want to thank our everyday customers and welcome new riders.”
